Updated: Feb 20, 2025 After posting my initial review on Feb 11 (see below), the seller reached out to see if they could make things right. They were extremely responsive. They tried to troubleshoot the issue, and even offered to send a different cable which may be more compatible with my hardware, free of charge. They also graciously offered a refund of my initial order, despite the fact it had been 6 months since the initial purchase. It’s amazing to see a company this dedicated to making their customers happy. At the end of the day I would definitely recommend buying from them because of their great prices and extremely high level of customer service. Feb 11, 2025: I bought this cable to connect my NETGEAR GS108X and XS508M switches. NETGEAR recommends using the AXC761 cable which is sold on their website for $50. Since this item claims to be compatible and is much cheaper I tried it instead. Everything seemed to be working fine at first, however I eventually realized that throughput was not great between the two switches. When running speed tests, I was only getting about 250mbps between the 2 switches. I tried the same test by instead connecting the switches using a CAT5e cable via the 1Gbps port and, as expected was getting close to 1000Mbps throughput. I then purchased the AXC761 from NETGEAR and am seeing the expected throughput. I have concluded that the cable is either defective or simply not able to achieve the expected throughput. Since I realized this after the return window had closed I decided not to try another cable from this manufacturer. My advice is to check the throughput after installing rather than assuming that it’s working based on connectivity.
