It's been installed for over 2 years, had to clean it once because the mower sat for 8 months, forgot to stabilize the gas or empty the bowl but after a cleaning 6 months ago the mower still runs and starts really well, haven't had any adjustments issues. Seems to use a little more gas but it seems like it added a little power to the mower. I'm very satisfied with the way it runs even though it's not a genuine john Deere replacement part. I had to attach the ground to the mower and use a butt connector for the power and find And mark the positive terminal in the backfire solenoid because it wasn't labeled. all in all it was easy to install and it seems to be a great replacement. Better option to cleaning the original carb. This part alone is cheaper than the original backfire solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor. It's worth the effort

I am pleasantly surprised at how well this carburetor has worked thus far. I have an old 2002 Craftsman LT1000 with the Kohler 17HP OHV engine, and this carburetor keeps the engine going well at all power settings, including idle. I've been using it through Spring and Summer in Connecticut (ambient temperature around 70°F to 90°F) and have had no problems whatsoever. I'd like to see how it will perform in the Autumn and Winter when the temperatures start to drop. I kept the OEM carburetor for rebuild but quite frankly, if it lasts a year or two, I'll just buy it again and again for as long as I keep this mower. Cheers!

This is a pretty good carb compared to another one I bought. This runs smooth and would idle too. Bought this back in May. In between my ignition coil went bad and thought it was this carb failing at first and bought a different carb but the other carb was not running as good as this one and end up putting back this carb in again and was much better. The only thing I would rate it negatively is that one of the gasket didn’t have the screw holes punched out accurately but I ended up just cutting it a little bigger so it would fit. Wasn’t a big deal. Overall a good carb.

The float was broken or stuck on the stock carburator. Half the gas tank ran into the oil. Was blowing white smoke and stalling. Pulled the old carburator, put this one on. Changed the oil and filter. Started right up and runs like new. Very happy with this product.

The carburetor was fine except it was missing parts so my son had to use the parts from old carburetor bc this carburetor was not in stock anymore.

The reason this carb is rated 3 is because after installation the engine of the mower started and ran ok. Otherwise the rating would be 1 or 2. The pigtail connector included for the fuel solenoid and ground was mismatched to the carb connector. I connected the the housings by force and they might not separate. Also the wires were poorly connected to the terminals inside the housings and easily pulled out. Overall poor quality.

Put this carb on a Scott's made by John Deere and it fired right up. Comes with all gaskets,a cut off switch, a inline filter,and fuel hose with sweeze clamps. And even a new spark plug. Can't beat 25 bucks for all that ready to go.17.5 HP Kohler Commander

It was a perfect match for my tractor. I bolted it on plugged in the wire hooked up the fuel and fired it right up. Very happy. Saved me a couple hundred dollars doing it myself.
