Didn't read
Bought this for a friend. I'm not a fan of Twilight. But the quality of The book is awesome, that too at such a cheap price. Hardcover, pages are of very good quality, and I wish Amazon had books of my liking at this price..

The worst quality.
The worst quality... it looks like a photocopy of the original book...and few pages are printed on top of one another...also its not a hardcover... wanted to return the book but i had to bear the cost of returning it myself...horrible and a waste of money

Very bad quality
The product was in really bad condition. Dust was flying each time you open the book and close it. Very old copy. Didn't expect this.

Consider buying books ,after seeing the reviews
Although the pages are fine but the books condition was not at all impressive the hardback cover is pretty damaged, but so far so good value for money

Got Hardcover instead of Paperback.
Book is good , new and everything . The only problem is that I ordered an paperback book. And I payed extra 30 rupees for the same and I got an hardcover book of older edition which is cheaper than the one I ordered.

Rad.
Novella extending from the story of Eclipse. I haven't read it at the time of writing this, but there are enough reviews of the actual story on Goodreads. The book arrived fast and in great condition. I don't know if this is optional, but because this is a version published by Atom, (as opposed to Little, Brown), the cover has a Matte finish as opposed to glossy. I'm just petty because the title/picture is easier to see in glossy and I have the main 4 books in the saga as glossy.

Really enjoyed this book as an add-on to the Twilight Saga
Really enjoyed this book as an add-on to the Twilight Saga. My main gripes are that there are no chapter breaks or even pauses, so finding a natural place to stop was actually really difficult. Also grown a bit tired of Stephenie Meyer's habit of every heavily featured vampire finding a mate, and of them all being heterosexual. Not that I needed to see a homosexual love story, but one couple somewhere in the story or at the very least seeing the story of a featured vampire just being a vampire without a mate would have broken the repetitiveness a little. Made it feel like that is their sole purpose, and by this novella that was played out. Nonetheless a nice little story that I think could actually make a good film. Gives more of an insight into the world of the 'normal' vampires and particularly newborns, as well as padding out 'the bits you didn't see' in Twilight Eclipse.

Not living up to the saga
I thoroughly enjoyed the Twilight Saga so I read this with high hopes. I didn't expect it to be as gripping as I found the other books but I certainly did expect it to fall into the saga. Although it's based around a character who appears in the saga I didn't really feel as if it had anything to do with it at all.Meyer has been criticized a lot for her lack of writing skills and this has never been an issue for me until now. I couldn't relate to the characters, I didn't find them likeable and by the end of the story I didn't feel as though I knew any more about them than the beginning. However, I think if it had been longer these things would change, with more detail to character I could have been gripped by this. It's an easy read, I read it in one sitting and if your a Twilight fan then it's definitely worth reading but I did find it disappointing.

Very Suprising!
As a fan of the Twilight Saga when I heard about this book I knew I would eventually read it, so I purchased it off Amazon, and it was sat on my shelf for about two weeks before I decided to read it. Like many people I was sceptical, I didn't think this could be anywhere near as good as the Saga so it took me awhile to even pick it up.But I was so wrong. A mere 10 pages in I was hooked, I loved the character Bree, and I loved how she was this oddity in this raging group of bloodthirsty vampires. Even though she was still a newborn she was still quite different from the rest. I liked the new characters Diego and Fred, and it was interesting seeing the inner workings of the army before their battle. Even though I knew Bree's fate I could help thinking 'Go with Fred! Don't go with Riley!' I desperately wanted her to survive even though I knew she wouldn't and I was extremely sad when she did. And even knowing that she dies in the end didn't spoil the story one bit. I think it was a brilliant idea for Meyer to give this tiny character in Eclipse her own voice and her point of view, I know when I read Eclipse again in will read it from a different angle. Its defiantly worth reading, especially because it's so short and won't take up too much of your time.

Eclipsed?
Stephanie Meyer herself wrote that if she had written this book before or at the same time as Eclipse, Eclipse would have been written differently. This is an sentiment that I totally agree with. This book gives a whole different take on the 'newborn' vampires, a subject that is, to a large extent, skipped over in the main novels. Bree herself turns out to be not at all the character imparted in Eclipse and very definitely the victim of events beyond her control. Whilst by no means an Angel she is equally not a self created monster, although that would be a fine distinction to make were you to have met her down a dark alley!!Chicken or egg? I cannot make up my mind if, with the benefit of hindsight, I would have chosen to read this book before or after Eclipse. Does anyone have a view on this?

Made 11 year old daughter very happy!
Book was in better quality than good, was like it had never been read or opened! Ordered for my 11 year old daughter who's recently got into Twilight and has pestered me for this book to complete the collection. I can't say what it's like to read as I hate Twilight and felt enough embarrassment buying the other books but my daughter's happy and that's all that matters.

Did anyone else notice???
OK, so it's part of the Twilight stable so I had to buy and read it. I was disappointed as I couldn't see why she wrote it. Riley would have made a better character as he was clearly more involved with the whole plot line. Bree really wasn't seen until the end of Eclipse when she surrendered. Did anyone else notice that the end of the movie corresponded to the end of this book and not to Eclipse? Nah watch it again carefully and see what I mean! Me I would prefer her to put everyone out of their misery and finish Midnight Sun. Then I can consign them to the top of the bookshelf to be read (again skipping all the jacob black bits, I had enough of those first time round) when I am in my 70's.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
I actually read this when it first came out but I've only got around to posting my review now. As an absolute fan of the Twilight Saga I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and my eyes reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and as it came out before the film (Eclipse) it put a totally different angle on the film especially where you can see that Bree is talking to Edward using her mind. The reason I dropped one star was just because of the length of the book as it's not very long and I think I had managed to read it in about a couple of hours. Definitely worth a read and once you have try to watch the film again as it really does put a new perspective on it.

Great side story
Bought this as I live the twilight books. It’s a great side story and a very enjoyable read. My only disappointment was that it’s a short story - I could have read chapters and chapters!

Nice Twilight sub-plot
As a Twilight fan I enjoyed reading this mini story depicting the life of the vampire who the Cullen's tried to rescue from Victoria's Army in the film Eclipse. Well worth the read if you enjoyed the Twilight films/books.

Must have for Twilight fans
I was not sure if I should buy it before so I read it online for the first couple of pages and I knew I had to buy this. The whole atmosphere was there and it attracts you. The plot, the characters and the writing are very good-- I bascially agree everything with other reviews. You know Ms Meyer just can't write something gruesome, so don't expect a lot from the fight. But she really dips into Bree's head like you can feel it, so I really really enjoyed the book. It's a pity this isn't a novel but a novella. This is a must have for Twilight fans.

Fantastic
I read and enjoyed all of the twilight series. I didn't know whether I would enjoy this or not. My instinct was well who is this girl? Jut because she was young I didn't understand concentrating her. I am so glad I read this short story anyway. For some reason it all made sense and came together after reading and actually was really gutted that Bree was killed. A very good read.

Very Interesting Insight
It was really interesting to see things from Bree's POV. Her character development in the short book was really cool, she became a loveable character quite quickly, as did Diego. It was captivating to see the both of them experimenting and finding out more about vampire life. The best parts for me was when she was with the Cullens. It was cool to look at the Cullens from Bree's POV, the "yellow eyes". I loved that through her Edward found out about the Volturi's plans to let the army destroy the Cullens, which they obviously couldn't.Altogether, it was a very interesting read and was fun to see the Cullens from a new set of eyes. Why not 5 stars? - Well, Breaking Dawn raised the bar when it came to story, and as much as this was a good story, Breaking Dawn takes a bit of beating!

A Great addition to the twilight saga
so this book is a great addition to stephenie meyers twilight collection, its a short book but the story is a great one! When i read this i was just finished with Eclipse which was the best time to read this book because at the end of the book is when Bree is first introduced and her story is definitely a good one, the writing is good, you can picture everything, the characters the small basements they hid out in, in the day everything is really visual and i have to say i am quite sad that Bree was killed because after reading her story you begin to really like her as a "person".But this is a great story and a must read to any TwiHard!!!
