Cute stories for little fans
These are cute books with simple stories little kids enjoy. My son isn’t quite 4 yet, so not reading yet, but it looks to me like the bigger/more difficult words people are referring to are specific to PJ Masks. Having seen every episode too many times, I think most kids that are into these books would be familiar with the terms making learning them more fun. They are more challenging than some beginner words I suppose, but it’d be hard to write books about the show/characters without them so I wouldn’t expect different. But, like I said we aren’t actually using them for learning to read yet, so what do I know? Lol. The stories are definitely good for young kids though. they’re simple enough that my son follows the story more than some more complicated books that get too in depth for him and have more sustenance/story than simpler board books still.

My son reads them
My son loves to read but recently stopped. Being 3.5 he loves pj makes so I bought these books. He loves them and we read then often. My two complaints, 3 of the 4 books have the sequence of the heroes changing into their characters in the wrong order. Now as an adult I could care less if it goes "Amaya becomes Owlette, Greg becomes Gekko, Connor becomes Catboy" in that order. But to a 3.5 year old, this is level 9 b.s. I have to often switch the pages around trying to not draw attention to the fact, which doesn't always even work. It is a battle everytime. The stories are based off episodes, which is kind of boring if you have seen these episodes countless times. It's just a quick lazy retelling of things you know. Romeo stole this, "the pj masks distract him and use their powers to get it back" they now have it back, the end. They also explain the meaning behind why the Harvest Moon is called a Harvest Moon and it is so wrong. Which is small and silly but annoying all the same.

I'm confused, but I tried.
So I received these and immediately read the instructions, Read with PJ Masks. I went my dresser and pulled out my PJs.As I placed the pants portion of the PJs on my head, I quickly found my self dumbfounded about how it wanted me to read with these on my face.I quickly realized I was being silly. I just needed holes, after all its suppose to be a mask.Promptly I cut holes into my only pair of pajamas.Well, it was hot, I was sweating into my eyes, and reading was just atrocious in these conditions. I decided I no longer wanted to read these books with a PJ mask on, and went to bed.Overall my daughter loves this box set, and I highly recommend it.
