I was looking for a replacement for my 40 pound waterproof and fireproof safe. The document bag fit my needs perfectly. The Houston area, where I live, has experienced several hurricanes and flooding events, and sometimes evacuation becomes a necessity and has to be done in a hurry. The document bag is vastly lighter, has the qualities of fire and water resistance, (not to the same degree or duration as a 40 pound safe, but the level of protection from water ingress and thermal damage is certainly at a good enough level) and now holds all the items I formerly had in my safe, with room to spare! In the event of an evacuation of is now far easier to grab all important items along with a few more things and be ready to go. Additionally, it is perfect as a Courier case, and can easily be a carry on in any airline. So far the document case is holding up well and seems to resists wear and tear effectively. If it holds up for a longer term, which it is giving every indication it will, I will certainly be buying more of these. It's a rare combination of quality and reasonable prices, a win for both seller and customer.

I bought this bag for document use only. I took my valuable documents out of my safety deposit box. I researched and decided on this bag. I cannot rate the fireproof or waterproof viability, and hopefully never have to. All the bags are rated basically the same as far as this is concerned. But I do have A LOT of documents, along with photos and special items that are regular size and larger than legal. They ALL fit with plenty of room to spare. I am very happy with this purchase. If something happens, I can grab it and go. The bag is sturdy and stable. Sits on its own without support. Also comes with the strap that is adjustable. I am happy with the product and it serves the purpose I needed it for.

Initially I was concerned about purchasing this product since it had no social proof. But I was pleasantly surprised by how well the bag was designed and the build quality. I traveled out of State a few days ago to attend a conference and I had to bring some important documents with me. The lock proved useful and it was reassuring that in case of an emergency my documents would be safe even in a fire. Overall this is a great value for money. I will be updating this review in the next several months as the bag proves its worth.

I am trusting that it is fireproof and waterproof as claimed. It holds a lot of documents and yet the bag is flexibleor expandable enough to hold items other than documents. Although I own a safe that supposedly is transferableor able to be carried, it weighs 35 lbs empty. Ugh. I can't pick that up and run out of the house if need be. At the timeI purchased the 35 lb safe, yes, probably I could carry it if my body was full of adrendlin. Not now.So I wanted something like this fireproof, waterproof bag to keep near me. I can grab it and go whether in a fireor hurricane evacuation.

We decided to close our safe deposit box and were looking for a home safe. As most of the ones in our price range were on the small size they were also portable and a thief could probably easily carry it off. In light of that fact we decided to get a fireproof and waterproof bag that we could take with us in case of an emergency. This bag is exactly as advertised. It is large enough to contain all our important personal and household papers. The lock that was sent with is an added safeguard although I suspect if the bag were to be stolen, the lock would not be a major hurdle for a determined thief. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality and value of this product.

Product very well made and very roomy for all important documents and valuables. Very pleased with purchase. Bought this product as I wanted all important documents in one place. Reason being, had to suddenly leave our home and go stay with family during Irma. Thankfully, all was good when we returned. Product protects your valuables and you can take it with you. Showed my neighbor and she's going to purchase one as well!

After doing some research, I got the impression that these sorts of products wouldn't hold up in an sizable fire. If the building burns down, this bag will probably have turned to ash. In the event the fire isn't that bad, I think these types of products could offer some protection.After examining the bag, I'm curious about how the zipper is supposed to be protected. When the bag isn't full, the zipper area leaves a decently sized gap between the zipper and the protective flap that goes over it. With the positioning of the velcro, the flap can't be pulled tighter over the zipper area. If there's a big gap in this location, it seems to be like the zipper/seams would be more vulnerable to flames.I think the free lock did the most to hurt my impression of the bag. The lock seemed broken upon first inspection. I could not get the latch piece to move up or down. I'm thinking either something was broken internally, or somehow the default combination was not the 0000 it was supposed to be. Whatever the case, the lock seemed cheaply made. Having been included with the fireproof bag, it hurts my impression of the whole package. If they'd include junk, who's to say the quality of the protective bag isn't to be questioned?
