TYR Adult Socket Rockets 2.0 Racing Goggle

My other goggles were great but I have a large ‘Roman’ nose and they hurt the bridge of my nose after about 30 lengths. I was looking for something with more of a flexible strap in that area and these are perfect. No fogging even after 50+ lengths and comfortable with great visibility under and above the water. They leak a little more than I hoped but there’s a bit of a knack to pressing them in / on before you set off. Once you’ve cracked that, they’re great!

They work really well ! I have a lot of trouble with leaking and have tried every make on the market - these are an upgrade from the Swedish in terms of being slightly softer round the eye socket - they’re also not particularly comfortable although if you keep adjusting to get them right they’re ok for a training session. I’m very pleased with them and the rings around the eyes are almost gonecas these fit closer to the eye rim.

Great googles, comparable to my Arena Swedix. I got the black/smoke ones which are gently tinted and great for bright areas. The anti-fog coating probably won't last, but that's to be expected. At under a tenner, these are 5* goggles.

I rarely write these reviews but feel the need to warn anyone considering this item. Keen swimmer here, 5 times a week. Bought this early October and barely just a month later, the bridging strap over one's nose, where normally is something more sturdy but here is the same material as the strap, snapped. It happened actually the first time about a week ago, but I was still able to use the goggles (with a shortened nosepiece strap) but now, the shortened bridging strap has slipped out of the tiny hole and wont go back in. Even though the product comes with an optional string nosepiece (for just the case I am experiencing, which indicates to me how often this problem happens) it looks horrible and is hardly a satisfying compromise. As the goggle doesnt even fit that comfortably in the first place and the strap adjustment is niggily (so often the strap is loose and water seeps in if it is not tight enough) I would NOT be buying this again and wish to warn others of the problem.

Llevo más de 6 meses usandolos, se han deteriorado por el cloro en el agua, los uso tres veces por semana. Pero no se han empañado, el secreto está en enjuagarlos al salir de la alberca y nunca tocar con el dedo la parte interna del lente. Son cómodos para entrenar, no apritan, pero tampoco son flojos, hacen un buen sellado. Recomiendo comprar un case para transportarlos, si bien no se han rallado, pienso el case los protege bien.

Finally goggles that don't leak. Anti-fogging not quite up to scratch, but I can still do my training. The nose bridge ripped on the first use. Got a replacement pair and so far so good.

I've been swimming competitively since I was (5) years old. When the Swedish-style goggles first came out, I was an early adapter and have been using this style ever since - anything else feels like I'm swimming with a windshield on my face. But having said that, these goggles are not for the average casual/recreational swimmer. Most casual swimmers feel like the goggles are too tight on their face - at least that's the most common critique I hear when I've lent my goggles out to someone to try for a lap or two. But someone used to the hard plastic Swedish goggles will consider these a rather comfortable upgrade. What works well for me is taking the extra time to fit the goggles with the included string and tubing. Additionally, I pair the goggles with a bungee-cord head-strap. This strap allows for quick adjustments and has much greater durability than the included rubber-straps; after all, there's nothing worse than showing up for a swim and having your head-strap snap just as you're preparing to push off the wall! I keep a backup pair of goggles and straps in a plastic ziplock and keep it close in my mesh swim bag so if I do happen to have a goggle malfunction - it doesn't ruin a workout. Before you buy, just understand what you're getting. These are designed for competition; as such, these are low-profile, tight, and comfortable - just the way I like them!
