I love the knives and this holder gives your counter space an attractive look. The reason I had to buy it again is because l got this about 4yrs ago and the handles began to break from the blade. I figure was because we put the knives in the dishwasher so lets hope it works as we will only hand was them and lesson learned.

Excellent quality!! Good Choice

Very clean and sleek design! I used to have a 15 piece knife set but I wanted a more minimal look for the countertop and this was perfect! Knives are sharp! I’ve only hand washed them as I don’t want them to tarnish or remove the paint!

First impressions are very good, but I see where other reviewers have complained about the too-soft grips and potential for coming off...this is why I give it 4 stars. I don't think I would have minded an injection-molded plastic grip. Mine seem ok, though, but I've been mindful of it during use. The knives cut very well, are comfortable to hold, and the holder is a nice visual touch over traditional wooden blocks. The only setback is that because the knives stand vertically, I do have to tip the holder forward so that the longer knives clear the cabinet above them.

Great set!

I spent much time looking for a knife set that met all my basic culinary needs but didn't have anything I didn't want (I already own a set of steak knives for example) and had EXCELLENT aesthetic appeal. All the standard block sets were the same but as soon as I saw this set I was hooked! The Cuisinart name absolutely helped sell me on this set and I can say that this is a wonderful knife set which has exceeded my expectations.The knives are super sharp and retain their edge very well even with frequent use. The minimalist design is great for my counter and I have to say that the "suspended" design has turned more than a few heads. Very Satisfied, would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this knife set because I wanted something more compact and slim for my counter than the traditional bulky knife block. While it is very slender, sleek and takes up less space on my counter, these knives are NOT good quality. I’ve barely had them for more than a month and several are dull already. I use them all frequently and I’ve had Cuisinart knives for years. My old set of Cuisinart in the knife block and several years old and just starting to get a little dull but still cut well. This set is already losing its sharpness in just a month of regular use. I know how to care for knives and I ALWAYS hand wash them immediately after use and dry them. I use a mild natural soap, never the dishwasher or harsh chemicals. I don’t have bag of the issues others wrote about with scratches or peeling coating but I can tell these knives won’t last. They were very sharp when I first got them. But they lose their edge quickly and I’m nervous to use a sharpener on them with the problems others reported about peeling. This set isn’t to the same quality as my other Cuisinart knives and I wouldn’t purchase it again. They won’t last long. It’s a shame because their holder solves my counter soave problem.
