Sisters and Brothers: Sibling Relationships in the Animal World

With the Common Core standards requiring us to have children reading more nonfiction, I delved into the works of Steve Jenkins and Robin page with my first graders this year. They love all of their books and enjoy every fact and illustration within. It has sparked a love of reading and writing of their own books that I have never seen before. Sisters and Brothers: Sibling Relationships in the Animal World was yet another example of an engaging topic presented as only Steve Jenkins and Robin Page know how. I would definitely recommend it for reading in school or at home.

I have a boy and a girl, and they both love this book. We've had it for several years and when we read from it, they each pick 2 or so favorite animals and then we read about the brother/sister relationship. It's a great way to teach kids about animals but also get them to reflect on their own family. The illustrations are beautiful. I think this book would be a great gift for any family.

I got this as a gift for twins! It's a very nice and interesting book. I will probably order a few more for Xmas gifts

I bought this for my niece and nephew, 3 and 9 respectively. It was a little too advanced for the 3 year old but the 9 year old seemed to like it.

Well written book about how animals have similarities and differences. Great pictures. Filled with interesting facts and information about many different animals.

Youngsters love books about animals, and this book is both entertaining and full of good information. A delightful book for the age 2-7 crowd.

Easy to read, and the kids like to see the pages as you read it to them. Done very well, and the kids know it is about them.

The illustrations in this book are amazing! The facts and examples are very interesting, and I'd recommend it for kids ages 4-9. I bought other books by these author and illustrator because this book was so good.
