Plastic Donuts: Giving That Delights the Heart of the Father

The title quickly pulled me into Jeff’s narrative. Without a clue as to what was coming, I soon found this little book delightful, convicting and hopeful all at the same time. Not original in its truth (it’s all biblical) but refreshingly and passionately told. Jeff’s well-researched approach is not a lecture. He’s really having an extended, encouraging conversation with a friend. Much appreciated, Jeff. You packed a lot in!

I really liked the author's emphasis. Bringing an acceptable gift to The Lord is a highly relational act. When we determine the amount or size of the gift it becomes even more personal and relational.I struggle with the institutional perspective of the author. Giving to the institutional church is no longer my priority but giving an acceptable gift is.

So many books about giving focus on either principles and rules or the blessings that givers receive because they give. This short book is a great reminder that giving impacts our relationship with God the Father, and our giving is for his joy! So many great principles.

Jeff Anderson looks at the biblical foundations for giving to God and says it in a way that would not offend those if the fundamentalist stream nor the liberal stream.

I haven't read it all, so far I have liked. I got it last week, and to night aiming to read more.

Best book on why we should give to the Lord. I dare you to read it.

Concise, clearly supported by scripture and easily read. You could liken this little book to a fresh jam-filled Krispy Kream, but one that is 100% nutritious! Buy a box; share them!

Excellent book! Reveals a unique and extremely helpful perspective on giving and Biblical stewardship in a brief, but thorough, very meaningful manner. This is a must for anyone wanting to please their Father and Lord.

For me the concept of giving and tithe were not the biggest issue. It was always in the matter of the heart I was wondering about. This book gives adequate illustrations from bible to explain different situations we might face this day and age as I give back to God. It's short and well contracted for thinking and challenging how and why you give.
