The DollaTek 5Pcs Dual Channel L298N PWM Speed DC Motor Driver Board is a compact and efficient motor driver module designed to control two DC motors or a 4-wire two-phase stepper motor. With a voltage supply range of 2V to 10V and built-in thermal shutdown (TSD) protection, this module is perfect for battery-powered projects like smart cars, toy vehicles, and robotics.

Not an L298N driver chip and therefore useless for above 10V
I needed a driver to control a 12V solenoid from an Arduino. This looked ideal as it apparently has an L298N driver IC which is well able to operate with my 12V supply. However it turns out that the chip fitted is actually an MX1508, which only takes up to 10V and is therefore totally unsuitable. Returning.

Great Solution
I've bought several of these motor driver boards to use in a self-balancing robot project. I was interested to see if I could common up the outputs to in effect double the drive current to a single motor, and found that you can, provided that you also common up the inputs, IN1+IN3 and IN2+IN4. The other thing I discovered was that the truth table found on other sites implies that you need to apply PWM to one or the other inputs to reverse the motor direction; there by needing two PWM signals. This is not the case, you can get away with only one PWM signal and a direction logic signal; provided when you change direction you also reverse the mark/space of the PWM in your code. The MX1616 device is a Chinese chip which I couldn't get any information on, so I have only given it 4 stars because of that. I've also not tested the device to the limit, so I can't vouch for whether or not the claims for current handling are valid. I'll find out more when I build and test my robot.

Perfetti
Gia testato e funziona come da aspettativa

Little bit mysterious but at end works well
Finally was able to work with it when header pins were soldered. It is working as expected and pretty simple to use
