For its size, this thing move a bit of water
Ok, this little thing can move some water! I have it installed in a solana AIO. Put it in the tank yesterday to replace a 5 year old mp10 that had a motor go bad on. 105 to replace just the motor. This thing was only 41 buck and change. I have it set to the w2 mode at about 1/2 power and duration. Moves quite a bit of water. Keep the frog spawn and all the other sps and LPS gently moving in the flow. I plan on getting another one of these real soon so will up date when I get to try the wireless sync with them.Pros.1. Cost2. Size3. Ease of setupCons.1. Magnets were shipped together, rubber to rubber. Was somewhat difficult to get apart.2. Fixed! See update below ......Automatic night mode does not seem to work3. Connecter on motor appears do be deformed. Still trying to fix.One big plus, if the controller goes bad, it would not be very hard to replace with an arduino or the like.Update 12-30-15figured out how to make the night mode work. Pushed and held the mode/night for a few seconds and the night led came on. After that, covering up the light sensor caused the pump to switch modes to a low speed. Works very wellUpdate 1-12-16I now have two of these running in my solana on both sides. I am running them in the "else" mode and it is working very well. Lots of water movement. Having them linked to each other was very simple, put one on master and the other on slack and it works. I have them turned down to about 40% now and it is still kicking some sand around every now and then. These are a "buy" in my book.

2 week review. Edited, re edited, edited again 1 year later.
I'll not go into the features and functions, everyone has gone into great detail already. My single RW-4 is on a 29gal. It has performed wonderfully, though I can't compare to a Vortech MP-10 because I do not own one. Singly this is not enough for my tank. Power wise it is plenty, but my volume of rock leaves me with dead spots. I have ordered a second so that I can try them in conjunction and remove my little Koralia, which incidentally cost the same from my lfs.I am new to the marine fish world, this is my first marine tank. All things considered it has been easier than I was led to believe. If all continues to go well over the next 6-8 months my 150gal. freshwater tank will become my FOWLR and I'll give this little tank away. This pump is rather large as compared to my Koralia, but more powerful and I much prefer the mounting system. My hope is to place my 2 pumps in a position to remove dead spots AND reduce their flow, as I believe I have too much flow currently, my fish don't look like they are in a blender, so it may not be a problem. The light sensor...due to the nature of it, it is difficult to tell how well it is working, as the tank lights are off while it is working, but I will put my faith in it until it gives me reason not to.If my opinion on this/these pumps change within a year I will update my review, especially as I will likely get 4 of the RW-8's for my 150g if these prove fairly reliable , I will answer any questions that amazon notifies me of.EDIT: 2/28/15 Got in a second one. Quality is...lesser. The pump i find tends to just stop, as though it is jammed, until i give the prop a little nudge, nothing appears to be inside jamming it, and i am not sure if it is because of the wireless controll either. i will give it a week and see if it improves, otherwise i will send it back for a replacement.(EDIT) 10/21/15 It never improved, just replaced, will see how it holds up.(EDIT) 6/1/16 Lost a second one a few weeks ago. I have lost 2 in less than a year. While i didnt expect a lot out of chinese pumps i did not get quite the quality i expected from a knockoff. I cannot afford to spend the money on good "smart" pumps at the moment, so, im trying out the new Koralias and a wavemaker.

works! don't work! works! don't work! works!
Totally forgot to write a review, guess it's time since I've had it for 3 years now! Well it was a good wavemaker, did everything that I needed it to do. It was everything that I had expected it to be. It actually about 3 months ago quit working. I took it apart, cleaned it and nothing. Threw it under my tank and forgot about it. Well I am cycling a new tank and needed a wavemaker and didn't have one. Decided to give this on a try and lo and behold it started working again! Three days later it stopped again. Took it out, cleaned it, nothing. Ordered a different brand wave maker, got it, way smaller than I thought, grabbed the ol Jebao one last time, plugged it in and what do you know......it's working again! So there it is, my story with my Jebao, hope it helps.

You get what you pay for
2 months with this unit so far it's been amazing ! I have no noise at all but a slight hum if you put your ear up to the glass. I have mounted in my 40 gallon breeder off set of my 525 gallon per hour sump. Gives me great circulation and wave effects!Update: about 9 months in the lil guy started getting noisy. So I took it apart ( as I do with maintenance ) noticed nothing new. Cleaned it and put it back together. Following the next 4 weeks it slowly stopped working. I could get it to would as constant flow if I jump started the propeller. Currently looking for a replacement.

Small and very powerful.
I ordered one and was surprise at now powerful this little pump is in my 30 long. The instructions are nearly impossible to understand, but the controls are not difficult to figure out. I discovered the button that changes the type of wave did not work. I decided to purchase another Jebao before returning defective pump. The new pump works perfectly. The pumps have a master slave wireless setting that works very well. The slave pump mimiced all settings on the master, so I never returned the first pump. The controller seems cheap and fragile. Because I have full control, I have no complaints as the only issue is the need to dial it to its lowest strength for my tank and wonder how long will the controllers last. The pumps are built well and easy to position.

Donโt waste your money
I had a tank waiting to be set up for sometime and was excited to get to use the Wavemaker finally when ready. Had it in for about 2 weeks before the buttons stopped working.

Short life.
Product lasted for less than 4 months and then stopped working. Cleaned thoroughly several times but still does not work. Not recommended.

Great product.
For the price, this unit is unbeatable. The wavemakers in my local fish store are about $150/pump and $150/controller, this one is a fraction of the cost and works fantastic.
