Great for Older Folks, excepting . . .
I purchased 2 of these for my elderly in-laws. Previously, they were using fairly simple "smartphones." Unfortunately, over the past year or so they kept locking the phones; deleting contact icons, moving icons around and couldn't find them, etc.--ending with somehow cutting off the ringers. After finding no solid reviews for "senior-friendly phones" I took a chance on these. Overall, for the features, headaches, and price, this was a good buy. I found nothing better..The Easyfone website is in India, and caters to their user base. So, no downloadable PDF User files and firmware updates. On the other hand, I was able to fumble through the paper setup guide and get them up an running by simply transferring the Sims from their hardly used smartphones (See below), and an eventual a power-up..1. SIMS. Note that the internal DIAGRAM (inside of the phone) of the SIM card is backward, but not reversed. This phone uses a STANDARD size SIM card, AND the box does contain a Nano carrier. So, you can transfer your Nano sim into the carrier and install the Standard size carrier with the contacts DOWNWARD, not upward as the Diagram shows..2. Power-Up. The power-up instructions did NOT work. I had to Press and hold the SOS button to INITIALLY powerup the phones. (Almost tossed them in the trash until I go this figured out)..3. The backlight / screen time out are buried in layers of menus. They don't work. New settings return to the default timer regardless of the saved changes..4. Entering contacts is laborsome, but easy..5. Basic use functions are fine, excepting that with all the buttons + the tilting rocker (silver ring) allows these folks to jump into menus and confuse themselves. . . This is the only real downside of this phone. After setting it up, there should be a method of locking the menus/buttons so that only basic functions work. For example, pressing the rocker in one direction gives these two texting--which is not a good thing in their world. Ditto for the recent call directory, etc. These are functions that just confuse these two..6. Still having issues. Mother-in-law called last evening to find out how to call someone. Then she yelled back at the family Poppy (her husband of 60 years) and complained that we were laughing out loud. Go figure. . .

Not good quality or user friendly phone
UPDATE: The phone may have been defective but the company went out of their way to either replace the phone or issue a refund. I am happy with their eagerness to help. It's 3 months old and I'm already having problems. At this point, it is unusable. When I call voicemail, I have to turn the phone around and listen with the rear speaker. It is not user friendly at all. I cannot hear anyone with incoming or outgoing calls through either speaker. I would advise any one to not purchase this phone. I see no where that it has a warranty. The info I get from Amazon is :Return window closed on Nov 20, 2018 and Product support window closed on Jan 19, 2019. I hope I don't have a fight on my hands. To be continued ......

Great minimalist phone with a few minor drawbacks
I've always dug the early 2000's aesthetic that phones used to have -- black and white text, little to no extra information clogging up the screen and a simple to understand interface; this is what drew me to this neat little phone. I was in need of a backup phone to carry with me on longer drives, and with the long stand by time this seemed to fit the bill nicely.Upon opening the package, I was actually surprised that there was little to no documentation on how to navigate the menus. This wasn't a big deal for me though, being pretty well versed with tech. Aside from some options being needlessly hidden inside unrelated submenus, navigating through the phone is straightforward. Something I do wish was an option would be to quick jump to my phone's contact list for speedier dialing, but I'm nitpicking. The phone accepts pretty much any GSM-based carrier's SIM (T-Mobile, AT&T, etc) so I slapped in my FreedomPop SIM card and the phone had service after a quick reboot. The antenna seems pretty strong since it mimics the connection quality of my Galaxy S8. Call quality is a little lackluster but in this price range it's what I expected.Build quality is surprisingly nice. The phone has a hefty amount of weight to it, which is something I missed from older cellphones. The buttons are responsive with a nice click after each entry, and the screen is vibrant with its text. The only real major gripe I have with the phone is how surprisingly warm it gets during longer phone calls. I could feel it getting warmer and warmer as the call lasted. About 15 minutes in and my hand was actually sweating some due to the warmness of the battery. I'd honestly be concerned about using this if I left it in the sun and then made a long phone call.

Probably a good phone if you can activate it.
I really like the cradle. It's easy to insert it and it stays where you put it. And the buttons are a decent size.Unfortunately it will not activate with Ting (which uses the T-mobile network for GSM phones). Enter the IMEI to check on Ting's site and it comes up as incompatible.I suspect the seller does not fully understand the intricacies of achieving a phone in the USA. I notice responses that say "get a SIM card from X". Well if the service won't recognize the IMEI as valid, you don't get the option to indicate the SIM card number. You've basically fallen at the first fence. So I'm returning it.
