Simple, reliable versatility to USB-C laptop
The good: display port all work well without any glitches - allowing me to be very mobile with a USB-C laptop I can now plug into monitors almost wherever I go. Small, durable unit. The bad: Nothing to report here! The ugly: at least for my Windows 10 laptop, this unit represents that it has audio capabilities (which it does though the HDMI port). But if no HDMI is plugged in, I have to manually change the audio device instead of allowing this box to be audio device when there is n HDMI with audio connected.

Great Adapter in a compact package
I use my surface to do a lot of presentations and having a universal video adapter is a must. A lot of venues still use VGA projectors, even though HDMI displays are becoming more common. The USB C Monodeal adapter has worked perfectly in every situation. It's compact structure makes it easy to store in my laptop bag without taking up too much room. The one bonus that I found after using it, is the that having the USB A port on the adapter lets me plug in my Logitech screen pointer for use during my presentation. This still leaves my other USB port available for thumb drives and such. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a broad ranging adapter.

Works well minus one small issue
Pros: I use this for my MacBook Pro. All ports work great and it is as simple as plugging it all in and you are off and running. The connection is solid and I have had zero image issues with using this adapter and connecting to a monitor or TV. Cons: I use a wireless USB receiver for my non-Apple keyboard and mouse that I plug into this adapter. Originally I had been using the VGA port since my DVI chord was hooked up to another adapter that my wife uses but was one that wouldn't work for my MacBook. Well one day I decided to use the DVI port on the adapter and noticed that both my keyboard and mouse were less responsive. One example is that the mouse cursor was jumping around on the screen at times and it wasn't smoothly moving across it like normal. Another example was that my keyboard seemed to be missing key strokes. After some troubleshooting I realized that somehow the DVI connection was interfering with the USB adapter. I switched back to the VGA port and it worked perfectly again. So it looks like I won't be using the DVI port if I plan to use a wireless USB adapter next to it. Overall this is a great deal and a quality adapter that will likely be perfect for most people's needs. I highly recommend it.

It simply works.
I bring my windows tablet to schools for author appearances. I plug my tablet into each school's projector to do my slideshow. Since my tablet has USB-C inputs, none of the schools I visit have compatible cords, so I've been bringing this adapter along. So far, the adapter has worked every time. I use an a/v slot - usually either the HDMI or VGA slots, as that's what most schools have - and the usb slot simultaneously (I use the usb to plug in my slideshow remote clicker). No fuss or need to fool around - I just plug in the cable, and the USB dongle, into the adapter, and it works. The piece is lightweight. It feels and looks sturdy and well-constructed. I've attached a photo of it next to a quarter, to give a sense of scale. If something goes wrong, I'll update the review. But so far, I'm pleased with this purchase, and I'd buy it again.

Nice functionality for an enexpensive adapter
The MONODEAL 4-in-1 adapter looks nice, and time will tell, but it appears to be built well enough to stand up to living in a laptop bag to be pulled out when needed. Files copied from a thumb drive in the USB port to laptop just fine. The VGA port also worked well, and the HDMI port displayed a nice big picture. It was used with a Windows laptop and Chromebook with no issues on either. Nice functionality for an inexpensive adapter.

Worked for 15 minutes but impressive customer service...but replacement still junk
First time I used this, it worked fine for 15 minutes, then the monitor went blank, as if no signal and the computer no longer showed the presence of an additional monitor. Tried it with two different monitors - one via HDMI and one via VGA. Neither worked though they were fine through other adapters or plugging in directly. So this thing literally died in less than an hour. I'm past the amazon return period but will try contacting seller. Update: I contacted the seller and to their credit they responded very quickly. They gave me a full refund because I had already purchased an alternative produce AND sent me a replacement for this one anyway. I am raising my rating from 1 to 3 because of this - but to be clear, I have not tested the replacement yet and I wouldn't count on it being that much better. Based on the reviews, at best, there is a QC issue with a significant number of bad ones going out. However, given their responsiveness and excellent customer service, I suppose it's worth taking the chance and hoping you get a good one and that it lasts. As for me though, I'm switching to known brands even if it means I have to have multiple adapters to get the equivalent. Update: January 2020 Finally got around to trying the replacement because none of my other adapters will allow me to convert DVI to thunderbolt. And guess what - it didn't work at all. At first, it seemed to work with an HDMI input but then I tried the DVI and that didn't' work - and then even the HDMI that worked at first stopped working. Junk. Back to 1 star. They could send me 5 of these for free and I would take them.
