It was super easy to assemble and use. My problem was that the tripod's height can't be adjusted. Therefore, you have to stand it on something unless you want to lay on the ground. This made it hard for me to find a focus point. I would recommend for a small child. My 6 yr was sad that I am returning it. I have no use for a family telescope that only a small child can use. Perfect for young children, not so much for older kids and adults. My 5' 6" 14 yo old found it annoying to use. The rubber on the bottom of the legs can easily come off so you'll need to be aware of that. It seems well made and very kid friendly. The telescope is made of aluminum and plastic. The lenses are plastic. It's very lightweight and easy to carry in the bag. It's a great option for a young child to have their own telescope and get them interested. A very beginner telescope. If you are looking for a good family telecsope, I would check out other options. The only reason I'm returning it is because I only need one 1 telescope. You do pay return shipping so be aware of that when considering this.

Magnification is fine; accessory items to enhance magnification do not lock into position fully which doubles the effort to find anything. The tilt lock handle does not maintain line of sight upon “locking.” The “night-vision” accessory is merely a green lens that literally diminishes the gathering of light. Instructions not adequate for beginners- much user information missing

It works really well, exactly what my 7 year old son needs. Only thing that is a bit of a bummer, is the stand is so small. We have to prop it up on a table to get a good view. And the rotation is also limited, because of the small stand, we can't fully rotate the telescope in to the sky, unless it's on a higher surface.

My kids love it however I could not get my newer Iphone connected to it correctly.

My son loves science and astronomy and this telescope is/would be a great beginner telescope... if it came with a larger tripod. I had to buy a tripod separately because I didn't notice that this telescope came with such a small tripod. It is EXTREMELY difficult to use with the included tripod. Other than that, it is a great telescope.

This thing is pretty cool, the only complaint I have about it or suggestion is that theyy should have a beginner guide to telescopes. Basically my husband and I could not figure out why we could not see anything until we did some research on what to do. Other than that it was really neat

Ordered this for my wife for a starter telescope originally thought it was gonna be great.After trying to use it this product sucks directions dont tell u anything cant see anything and have had exp people help us and they couldnt help us either so basically i have a 100.00 telescope that collects dust and cant use i got ripped off and taken for 100.00 i will learn next time very disappointing and frusterated that i got taken for 100.00 and cant use it money dont grow on trees and in good faith bought it and now its just a eyesore that sits in a box in extra room.Very disappointed dont buy this product its a RIP off.

A little difficult to assemble and tripod is fairly light , making scope top heavy... But overall a good purchase

It is a good telescope for the beginner to start with. It comes with everything you need plus mobile phone holder which makes oberservation and taking photos easier. There are a few parts allowing to ajust the telescope accrodingly.

Four stars I have difficulty with vertical hold no simple lock that I have found. I have a seaview house and look at ships. Starting interest in astronomy but as I say difficulty in verticle will make it harder until I used of it. Despite all it is good value and a good starter. If I get in to astronomy I will get a motorised one.

Upon receiving and constructing the telescope I couldn't help but feel the perceived value of the product should have been much lower maybe by 50 percent. The bag was missing, the instructions didn't mention the contents or use of all the scope eye pieces.The reason I bought the scope was for the mobile phone function/attachment. Unfortunately the scope couldnt counter the weight of my phone ( my phone is a normal size ) resulting in the product being unstable and falling over. Also the plastic bracket on the phone holder that attaches to the eye piece, does not attach snuggly to the eye piece. Conclusion, very disappointed for a product to fail on all the reasons we bought it for.
