Let me start off by saying that I don't believe that salt lamps have any health effects. They are an interesting and whimsical light source.The light from the lamp is warm, but not too bright. It is perfect as a warm ambient lamp at night or during the day. The light is able to be dimmed to just a faint glow or to a nice 5 foot radius glow. I personally use it to brighten a dark corner and as a night light.I leave it on the brightest setting an thee salt itself never gets hot. I randomly touch it to see and it is only slightly warm. The cord is UL Listed, so I trust it. The base is very sturdy with rubber feet and comes in a nice cocoa brown. (Not sure what wood stain color it is, but cocoa is close.) The salt itself is fairly heavy, so it won't easily topple over. The base helps with that with the skid resistant feet.I don't know what everyone is talking about with the bulb being hidden. I found it immediately when I opened the package. It also includes what type of bulb it is so you can buy replacements, which I REALLY appreciate. It is also included in the product description online.Overall, this lamp is a great piece of decor and lovely ambient lighting. This specific lamp is well worth the money and safe from overheating with its reasonable wattage bulb and UL Listed cord.

I work a lot and spend most of my time indoors and needed something to help purify the air and relax me. I read about the benefits of salt lamps and decided to get one. Let's be honest, Amazon these days feels a little like eBay where there's so much junk and fakes out there. But THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. As soon as I held it, I loved the large size, sturdy significant weight, and the real salt grain. Ok I'll admit I even licked it and YES it's real salt! It's so pretty in the daytime, and when it's lit up in the evening it's even more beautiful. It brightens up my day, both literally and figuratively!For those looking for GENUINE products like me, I feel confident recommending this to you.

This is definitely authentic and perfect size. But it said it should come with a light bulb but it didn’t. And you can’t just use any light bulb because it needs to be pretty tiny. - - Update: The light bulb is in there but it is hidden in the white foam and it is tiny so easy to miss. I told customer service that I didn't receive a light bulb and they immediately sent me a new one, no questions asked. But then I found the original light bulb. They probably get that all the time, so just make sure you look carefully for the light before you say you didn't receive one :)

I already had a nice Himalayan salt lamp (which I’ve had for about 10 years now and use nightly) and wanted another for our guest bedroom. Wanted an authentic one that plugged into a regular outlet and gave off the traditional warm glow - vs. one that changes color. This one was beautiful - better than my original one. Nice color, quality wood base, and the dimmer switch is an awesome feature! The warm glow is just what our teal-colored guest room needed. The top comes off so if the bulb burns out you can replace it. My old one did not. Would highly recommend this for nice ambient lighting.

Its much smaller than expected and according to what the description says it is... mine is about an inch and a half to two inches shorter in height 3 inches smaller wide.No certificate of authenticity or paperwork on it in the box at all.So disappointed with that!!!The color is very pretty.But really wish and thought it was gonna be bigger than it is.

My lamp is very pretty, nicely shaped, and a wonderful decor next to my bed. I like that it comes with a dimmer switch. I was skeptical that it would help with my sleep - but it really has! I've had it for about a week and I am actually sleeping deeper and longer.The only negative is that the little bulb that came with the lamp was smashed. It was packet outside of the lamp. My suggest is that the bulb should be inserted inside the salt lamp which would act was a protector for the bulb. But this was not a big deal as I bought another bulb used for night lights.I would recommend this Himalayan salt lamp. I might buy another one.

My lamp came with a good bulb. I was thoughtful to order a 6-pack of spare bulbs that arrived in the same box the lamp was shipped in. The dimmer switch is a nice feature for the lamp.The only reserve I have is with the black spots all over the lamp.Is there a way to wipe it off without damaging the salt?(UPDATE.)Ambient Salt Lamp company suggested I use a damp cloth to wipe off the black spots.It worked. They also made sure to follow up on the results.Definitely a good company to order salt lamps from. THANK YOU!

This salt lamp was everything i expected and more. I was skeptical of the benefits when i first heard about this product but i'm glad i made this purchase. The soft ambient glow of the lamp really did help me to fall asleep, and i get the health benefits of the lamp all while sleeping. The delivery was on time and the setup of the lamp was super easy; i just click the lamp on while i'm at home and turn it off when i leave. Usually i have to close my windows and turn the ac on due to my allergies but, when i have the lamp on, i can breathe freely even with the window open. Totally recommend.
