I had really hoped this powder would taste like a flat version of the Optimum ready-to-drink carbonated version of this same mix of supplements. The RTD tastes a little like Red Bull, and is a little more expensive, tastes better when refrigerated, and it's not always easy to carry, so power form is ideal--drop in the gym bag, in the water bottle, and you're off. However, the taste does take some getting used to. I've found using the coldest water I can find overcomes the slight metallicky-vitaminy taste, and goes down smoother. Cannot vouch for longevity--I've only used it during a workout, which the package recommends, but also recommends taking up to 30 minutes *before.*

The amino acid profile is pretty good, but like most things Optimum the flavor and texture could be better. All the artificial sweeteners and dyes they use tend to ruin an otherwise useful product. Luckily I got a pack of this during a Gold Box deal, so it was worth the $6 to give it a try but I'll be using something different in the future.

Phenomenal product!! Great source of immediate energy to use anytime of the day. The taste is amazing!! The packets are extremely convenient to use and pack in a purse or lunch box. It mixes easily in a bottle of water with no chucks or residue. I highly recommend this product!!

I use the powder from the jar all the time, but needed something easy to carry when I travel. Live it and easier to get through TSA with.

Great for on-the-go energy before or during a workout or if you just need a little boost. Best part is the packets are TSA-friendly so you can travel with them. Taste is great too.
