MTD Genuine Parts 42-Inch and 46-Inch Twin Bagger 2010 and After

bought this for a cub cadet ltx 1045. this is one of two baggers that cub cadet says will fit this mower. Parts looked and felt solid. Installation took maybe 30 mins. It lasted for about 30 mins on my mower before cracking where the mower output joined with the tube. After that it didnt have enough force to blow the clippings into the bag. I called MTD "customer service" and talked to Tabitha. I wanted the replacement part instead of taking it apart and sending back to amazon. she told me i would be better off sending it back to Amazon. She also said they dont send out replacement parts that I would have to go to a dealer to get it inspected and then see if my warranty was valid. It was literally on the mower for less than 30 mins.. Good luck if you buy this, hope there are no bumps in your yard. dont say I didnt warn you.

Shute blocks very easily when grass is even slightly damp, a poor fit on my TB2246. I now have the Rube Goldberg model - bunjee cord attached to mower body around where shute meets bagger to keep top of shute in place; bunjee cord in middle of shute attached to mower body to keep shute from popping loose to the outside; 5" x"4" access door cut into lower shute to access constant clogs, bungee cord around shute in location of retro-cut access door to to keep door shut ... now, if the grass is very very dry I think I'm in luck... Oh yeah, it is a bit overpriced for the quality given. In all fairness, if it fits YOUR mower and YOUR grass is always dry, this is probably a nice system.

The box was a little rough when it arrived, but I think the shipper is responsible for that. All the parts were there (be sure to look for parts packed in with the catch bags. After reading some reviews, I thought parts were missing until I unpacked everything and did a quick parts check against the parts inventory list. I thought the bad reviews might be right, but they couldn't have been more wrong). Assembly took 25-30 minutes and went very smoothly. I wanted to wait to write a review until after I used the Bagger, and I'm glad I did. I cut both wet and dry grass and had no clogging problems, and no grass escaping the bags. It picked up the leaves, and here in Ohio, we've got lost of leaves! I even managed to bang the tube against a tree or two and even a gas marker pole, and no damage! It's plenty sturdy!

Works well with my Cub Cadet LTX1040 Lawn Tractor! It has made my life much easier in the fall in Michigan! Our property is surrounded by trees, and we traditionally bag about 130 leaf bags for pickup. My time for cleanup has been reduced by 70 %, and my back doesn't take the abuse it did prior to using the twin bagger on the Cub Cadet!

This catcher works excellent on my 42 inch deck Troy built riding lawn tractor. I had it out of the box and put together in less than one hour. The seal at the bigger and chute is really nice and does not blow grass everywhere except into the two bags. I highly recommend this product.

Put this on my 2011 Cub Cadet LTX 1045, 46” cut mower. I had the new model on my last mower and it was horrible. This is the old version and I was rebuilding this mower so I figured I would give it a try. The design does not allow dust to cover you from a poor seal on the cover like the new one does. There is also no issues with seals on the lid at all.While emptying the bags is a bit arduous, the minor inconvenience is worth it for the robustness of the product.If they are available, I highly recommend this product over the new MTD bagger system.

Works ok! If your grass is completely dry, the force of the mower has not problem pushing the grass through the hose into the back bags. BUT if the grass has any moisture at all, the grass tends to stick and jams up the hose before ever making it to the bags! And it will get completely jammed. Overall, it does the job but could be better.

Just installed it. Easy as hell to install. I have a 2011 craftsman LT1500, but it's got an MTD deck (from factory). Fit right on it without modifications and came with all hardware.The plastic feels a little flimsy, but it works just fine. I switched from mulching blades to this because i was tired of looking at all the grass clippings on my lawns. Bags feel solid.
