I’m a mechanic and all my good tools are at work. I usually cheap out for at home so I bought this kit. I ended up loving it so much! It feels identical to a Mac tools 1/4 kit. The etching is very readable, the ratchet is very fine tooth and performs well. Quality set! Oh and I like the blow molded case.

Great product for my trade. With all the different sizes needed, and the deep sockets they work perfectly. Seems like the set is made from quality material and they're going to last a while. The case makes it easy to carry around. Good purchase.

I really like this set. I have used it many times already and they work great! Gearwrench make a quality tool. I own many other Gearwrench products great value for the money and I would recommend them to anyone that wants quality tool.

This set has almost all the sockets I use on a daily basis. I have a couple just a size bigger the the biggest in this set which is around 9/16. But the deep sockets are designed to keep nut at end of socket. For me that is great because I work in some tight spots. The teeth on ratchet are 120, so the slightest movement turns and locks socket in tight spots. Most are around 60 to 70 teeth. I found this set to be of great help on my last rotation at work. And am looking forward to using on next one. I would recommend. Ratchet work smooth and switches fwd and Rev with the flick of a thumb. The price isn't bad either. One con is the sockets are loose in case. In other words if the case falls sockets everywhere. Not so much an issue for me I just grab sockets I think I need and put in my pocket. I would buy again if needed.

Excellent set. Not perfect but for the price they're pretty darn close. It's really hard to beat these. They're right at the sweet spot between cost and quality. The warranty is worth it alone. If you have a problem you can take a bad socket to anyone who sells Apex tools (NAPA, Fastenal, etc) and swap it out for a new one at no charge, no questions asked. I'm very happy with them. Fit and finish is 4/5 stars. There's a few of the sockets that in places the chrome isn't totally perfect but unless you're really looking for it under a magnifying glass, you likely won't notice. Most of the sockets in the set are indeed perfect.I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality 1/4" set. The case is decent too. The sockets do wobble in the case but they still all stay in their places even when you invert and shake the hell out of it. It's nice to open the case and have everything always in its place. I wish it had a handle, but not a big deal. I would certainly buy these again. I should have bought them sooner. The only odd thing about them is when you open the case they have a faintly sweet aroma. Some kind of lubricant or plastic off-gassing? It's like new car smell but for tools? I don't know what causes it but I'm not complaining! Great set!

Awesome kit have for home shop or your garage.

I have all sorts of big and brand ratchets off the big namebrand tool trucks and these gear ratchets and sockets are just as good in my opinion as the Matco tool brand and the Mac tools and some of the snap on. I seen a couple complaints about the case in the reviews before I purchase this item and now I’ve had it for a couple of weeks I don’t really see any problem with the case I think it’s a good set up.

Most excellent tools really work them hard and they remain as good as the day I got them

As others have noted, the pieces fit very loosely in the plastic box and go all over the place when shipped or transported. OK if you are just leaving it in your cabinet.I was not used to the convex "Flats" in the sockets which make them feel like they are oversize. But it actually works well so I can torque small nuts without rounding their corners.The 120-step ratchet is incredibly fine, a big advantage (repairing bicycles and walkers).Only had it a month but so far I feel it's money well spent.
