Worked great for my 99 Ford Ranger!
Awesome product! I will start off by mentioning that I am a professional automotive technician, and this install may be easier for someone with a similar skill set, however anyone who is mechanically inclined should have no problem installing this. So, I have a 99 Ford Ranger and the ignition rod (part that controls the position of the ignition switch when turning the key) broke a couple years ago back and I had to dismount the ignition switch from the steering column and start the truck by manually moving the ignition switch to the proper position because replacing the ignition rod is labor intensive and involves removing the entire steering column from the vehicle. However after finding this product I decided to take a chance and try it and I’m so glad that I did because it worked out exactly how I wanted it to. It starts the vehicle and it also allows for the “accessory on” position of the ignition switch. You will need access to a wiring diagram for your vehicle’s ignition system in order to wire it up properly. It was a very easy install and for $24 and about 1.5-2 hours of time I am extremely impressed! Highly recommend, especially for an older vehicle that doesn’t have a PATS (Passive Anti Theft System). For me this was a much better solution than replacing the ignition rod in the steering column.

2001 Toyota Tundra
Put this in my 2001 Toyota Tundra with no factory alarm or immobilizer. Provides a layer of security to help prevent potential theft. Have something similar in my '91 CRX, which stopped an attempted theft of the car outside of my workplace, so I know that these work. Something to keep in mind, however, is the brown wire. As another reviewer pointed out, the module will drop the 12v connection on the brown wire while it cranks. My Tundra, as a result, wouldn't start as it requires 12v to be present on both ignition wires. My solution was to combine my ignition 1 and ignition 2 wires together, this way both my ignition wires will have 12v while cranking, allowing the truck to start. I also like that the module can be programmed with other RFID tags. This allowed me to program it to also use the tag that I use for my Honda, that way I'm not carrying around more than I need. The procedure for programming the module is included in the manual. As far as the manual goes, it's pretty simple to follow if you're familiar with car wiring. Didn't take me long to figure out the table detailing what each color wire was for. I was able to then cross reference it with a table detailing my trucks ignition wiring, and get everything connected properly. My only complaint is that it would have been nice for the manual to mention the dropped voltage issue on the brown wire. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this kit if you're looking to add some security to a vehicle with no factory anti-theft system. Just be prepared to do some wiring, or pony up the cash to have a professional shop install it. Most car stereo shops should be able to install this easily.

Very Simple Installation
So far so good! 👍 My mechanic said this was the simplest push button installation he's ever done. Everything works perfectly 👌 Update 11-8-25: still works good. However, the small blue tags do not work when the weather is cold outside. I always end up having to use the RFID card instead.

Don`t hesitate to buy.....best push to start out their!!!
how it works in my car.....[...] bought this to change the car up a bit and replace the old style key it started to wear down a bit and wouldn't always work. first will start with quality everything in the box is about a 8 and a half on a 1/10 scale which is not bad at all. The RFID tags are plastic which s fine but i definitely would recommend picking up a couple more so if you have other family members that drive that car you dont have to keep taking the tags off. The button its self i was shocked and is really nice looks like a factory button from any new vehicle. The module itself is plastic and that fine because its meant to be hidden anyways aswell as the reader ring. this is a good buy aswell if your rebuilding a car and dont wanna pay 100$ for a lock cylinder as well. something that will have buyers hesitant is where the instructions ask you to cut your key and leave it in your ignition. THIS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO! you do not have to do this they best way to go is to remove the cyclinder lock entirely you can easly google how to remove your lock cyclinder from what ever car you have. Install: who can install it? id say anybody....if you have the diagram the install was a bit harder if you dont have your cars ignition diagram. but its fairly straight forward. the instructions the company gives you on the other hand are bad. what helped me was doing the instructions backwards. for example hook up the wires that you know for example the black wire on the module would go to the black wire in your ignition if that was the diagram says for your car. If you do have trouble you can go to your local mechanic and have them install it but make sure you have your ignition diagram or they will be stumbled. tools: yes you will need tools for this your going to need a wire stripper 12 dollars at your local autozone and buy a bunch of quick splice connectors. you can get those at autozone as well. Id recomment the ones that have the conductive gel inside them. you will also need one T-tap for the break wire. pros: it works as it says if you install it right... when its all hooked up you it should work like this, place rfid where the reader is, it will sound and then you can apply breaks and press the button to start. when you want to shut the car off apply brakes and then push button and move the tag. cons now for the cons its not a huge deal but i thought i should put it in anyways one thing you will notice with this is that when you go to remove the rfid tag the system doses not arm with 30 seconds so when you shut the car off and leave the car it take 30+ seconds until the car armed. armed meaning that the button will be useless until it gets the code from the rfid tag again. i do wish their was a way you could change it but sadly you cant. price: is it worth 66$? or the sale price of 45 id say 45$ is the sweet spot for this product i would definitely buy thing again and i plain on installing it in another car as well so the price is reasonable link of video working in my car [...]

Works well but....
the system works almost as advertised. Yes, it is push button start. However, if you are looking for modern car keyless start, it does not work that way. You must put the RFID tag into the antenna, not just get into the car. I was thinking the system would identify the tag with a greater proximity however that was not the case. Past that, the system is fine. Keyless start works well so long as you insert the tag into the antenna, wait for the chirp, then start the car. Since you still have to have the key in your hand in order to start the car, I would not call this a true keyless start. Once the car is started, you can put the key anywhere. At that point, why not have it in the ignition? Sounds trivial until you try it and realize that it is just the same as a key start but remotely locating the ignition. Looking for a way to boost the antenna gain to make it a true keyless start and will update if and when i find a solution.

Not a good product
Installed this in a 1993 Miata. Installation is a bit unclear and you will need the wiring schematic for your car to make sure you connect the wires correctly. After soldering all the connections and wrapping all bare wires with electrical tape, I reconnected negative cable to the battery and the car started up the first time with no problems. I tried to shut the engine by depressing the brake and pressing the Start/Stop button once, and would not stop. I tried it again, and ended up re-engaging the starter solenoid and causing the starter to contact the flywheel while the engine was running causing it to grind. The only way I could shut it off was to turn the key to off. The car sat for a couple of hours and I decided to take it for a drive, and it started it up fine. I decided to turn it off again by depressing the brake and pressing the stop button, and the engine shut off as it was suppose to. I thought the system had gone through a "learning" process and all was well. Stopped by a store and picked up stuff and restarted the car fine. As soon as I got home, depressed the brake and pushed the stop button, and the engine would not shut off. I didn't want to depress the brake again and push the stop button again in fear of grinding my flywheel, so I tried to shut the engine by turning the key to off...pulled it off the ignition and the engine is still running! Re-inserted the key and went through the sequence of depressing the brake and pressing the stop button once more, and the starter solenoid engages causing the starter to grind the flywheel! I don't remember exactly what I did, but I finally got the engine to shut off. Overall, I think this product would be great if it worked right, but it didn't. I don't know if I received a defective one, but I will be contacting the seller for a replacement. I know my installation was correct, as I used a voltmeter to measure (12 vdc) voltages for ACC, ON, and while cranking the engine over,...and the engine started on the first try. If this condition persists, then this product is a liability, and I would consider this product UNSAFE for road use! This product obviously operates randomly, and I lost my confidence in using the push button start, so I left the module in place, but using the key to start the engine.

Well worth the money!!
Excellent quality for the price. Had a hiccup with the first one and they send out an immediate replacement before I had to send the returned one. Very pleased with this purchase. I will be buying one for all 5 of my vehicles.

Do your research
As being previous electrician I found this easy to install, but I feel most people probably could if you can reach the wires you need. Need to do your research on the correct wires!!! And don't try to parallel this with your key switch or goofy stuff gonna happen. One or the other! If your vehicle already has security measures this becomes very much more difficult for a novice to install. Beware of your own skill level !!!!! It's not the devices fault of your own shortcomings!!! Don't be like others and leave a bad review because you can't install it correctly that's not the products fault! As far as being reliable... only had it installed on our daily driver for a month or so but working great! Have even used Valet mode 2x because of taking the vehicle for shop work, tires/ alignment easy to use.

DO NOT BUY! BUYER BEWARE!
If I could leave no stars, I would. BUYER BEWARE I don’t write reviews but feel compelled to save anyone else the time, energy and safety!!!! We’ve had to have 2 of these. One failed at 60 MPH with my children in the car and just stopped working. We ordered another and replaced the control unit that sorted the issue thinking it was perhaps a dodgy unit. Less than a week later, same thing has happened and we broke down in a car park while food shopping! Stuck again with my children including a baby in the car! DO NOT BUY. Don’t waste your money, sanity and frankly your safety!!
