Carhartt Men's Rugged Flex Rigby Shirt Jacket

Overall, I love this shirt jacket. It is absolutely perfect for working outdoors when the temp is in the 40's. But buyer beware of the sizing! Fortunately, I was able to try this on at a Bass Pro Shop, they just didn't have the color I wanted. I am 5'11", 174 lbs, with a fit build from 22 years in the Army. The Medium fits me perfectly. Every other jacket and shirt I own is either Large or X-Large. Whatever size you normally wear, buy a size down or you will be swimming in it.

This shirt is much softer material than I thought it would be- was thinking the exterior would be closer to duck or denim and the inside a felter wool type material or something thick- but it is a mega super thin fleece lining that isnt conched down, it just kind of floats around a bit inside the shirt which is annoying. It's okay and all but not worth 70 bucks OUCH Carhartt quit continually lowering your standards by sending out cheap crap- we can tell, consumers are not idiots. I cannot suggest you get this shirt it is just too much for what you get.

I replaced a carhart jacket almost just like this one when I bought this. It had big shoes to fill since I’d had that old jacket for about 12 years. I am very happy with it and will be buying another one.

I live in the Bay Area (CA) and bought this shirt-jacket to throw on when I walk my dog or run local errands. We have mild but cool falls/winters/springs in this area and this shirt-jacket has been great! The L fits my 6’1” 190lbs frame perfectly - room to layer, but not swimming in extra material if it is just over a t-shirt. The exterior layer is soft, somewhat thick, and semi-durable (somewhere between a cotton shirt and heavy duty canvas jacket) and the interior is thin but plush and warm (almost feels like a thick microfiber material). It has a good array of pockets, I especially like the hand warmer ones that are lined with the warm interior material. Typical Carhartt quality and attention to detail. I chose the shadow color and like its medium matte shade of gray, but the other color choices look like they’d be nice too. This might not be a good choice for a jacket that is going to be used for extreme work environments, but as a light-duty shirt-jacket option, it really is tough to beat, especially for the price you can find on Amazon. I strongly recommend.

order whatever size you normally wear if you plan on just wearing a t-shirt underneath...for a sweatshirt underneath order a size larger...this shirt fits to size... dont listen to the the first reviews here they are incorrect ..I wear a large and ordered a medium listening to the reviews and i had to send it back and get the large im 5ft 8 in and weigh 195

Just right when you don't want the bulk of a jacket, a hood to get in the way, or a sweater that can get caught on stuff. About the weight of a heavy sweatshirt, but outside is tough canvas.Normally wear XL shirts since I have broad chest, and (sadly) broadening mid-section. I tried XL in the stores and was swimming in it, so ordered the L and fits great! Sleeves are slightly shorter than I like on a regular shirt (I have monkey arms), but for working outside it's almost perfect since it keeps the cuffs clear of what I'm handling. 5'10" 190lbs

Great fit and the fact that I don't have to bother with zippers! Buttons snaps makes it easy and very comfortable to wear on the jobsite.

Purchased for my husband to wear while cool to cold doing chores, working on his car, hanging outside. Great casual look, and the stretch provides a much wider range of motion than the other Carhartt jackets, which we love as they are washable, and practically indestructible, but this one with stretch seems a bit more comfy and allows him better movement. Highly recommend.

I wear carhartt shirts, sweaters and jackets year round. I absolutely love this spring/fall jacket. It is comfortable, feels durable, and looks good. It does however loose a star for the lack of colour options - the jacket looks more like a military green in person - and the sizing. Because the arms do not have a band around the cuff the jacket feels like it fits bigger than every other item I own. Worth noting I usually wear carhartt baggy on purpose.

It's that perfect missing layer I've been longing for, and that's all I have to say. Great quality jacket that goes well with my entire wardrobe.

Good looking coat, could use better quality snaps.
