Great Idea
I bought these for my greenhouse heater. Last night it got cold enough outside for my car door to be frozen closed. The greenhouse thermometer said the lowest was 40 so it must have turned on. But when I checked them, they were not on (at 40 degrees). I'm hoping I didn't lose any plants. Will find out in a few hours.So it works, kinda. These should work great for the chickens, but if you need plants at 45, get something that will stay on longer.

Great Product from Cutler's Supply
We have been using this Thermo Cube Outlet since early 2020, to control a heated kitty house on our front porch. The cube has worked reliably through two winders and saves energy. Cutler's Supply got the product us to us promptly and in perfect condition.

I dont like them, think their off
Tried a few out this winter, tied to heaters. They never did turn on and I know it was cold enough.

Reliable
I use these in the chicken coop to ensure the chickens stay warm in cold weather. It turns off and on as expected. I have 2 heat lamps running off of one outlet and they are on when its cold and off when its warm. These are inside the coop so I don’t know how the outlet works in outside weather conditions.

Very disappointed
First -20 night it failed. Luckily I have a temp probe on my water pipe and checked it or I would have had frozen pipes by morning. When I took it off I tested it by putting it on the freezer wit a lamp attached - lamp didn’t come on definitely defective. Tried test with another cube and it worked.

wonderful product
I use this for my sweeter heaters in my chicken coop.Our temperature's are up and down. I was always unplugging my sweeter heaters when we had warm days .Now I do not have to do this.
