This is a cute, sweet little read. Since my daughter was just a week old, I have read this to her about once week. She is now almost 7 months. She enjoys looking at the pictures as I read it to her in my lap. It has plenty of places to get in tickles and squeezes and kisses with your little one.

This book was a good, simple read for bedtime. The illustrations are well-done and the color palette is soothing. The book has a rhyming pattern so you can read it in a steady cadence which I find good for putting kids to sleep. I have a five year old and seven year old, and both found the book enjoyable in a calming way.

The media could not be loaded. This is a wonderful book. It has a sweet message and a repetitive cadence which keeps the afternoon of little ones. The illustrations are gorgeous and colorful. The book visits a variety of animals (and a spider) and shows what are some of the ways in which they show each other their love.On its own, this is a very sweet, adorable book, with beautiful illustrations. But compared against "If Animals Said Goodnight", I feel it doesn't quite reach the same caliber. "If Animals Said Goodnight" is longer, has a cute tie-in with the sloths which are still slowly kissing as the book visits all sorts of different animals (this book has a tie-in with the gorillas, but it's not as consistent), and it lends itself more to the reader creating lots of sound effects with the story, which is delightful and keeps the little ones rapt (for example, "klick-klack" and "howl" and "growl"). This book has some of this, but not as much.If I was comparing this book to the "Goodnight" book in the series, I would give it 4 stars. But I do feel that this book is worthy, especially as a standalone compared against all the other baby books out there (many of which I find are not to my liking). I find I personally prefer baby and toddler books which are sweet and beautiful as opposed to childish and silly ones. This series has beautiful art instead of colourful doodles, and while it's just a matter of preference, I feel this style is much better.Overall, I would definitely recommend this for baby and toddler story time, and for young readers.Please consider giving my review a helpful vote if you found it useful. I ordered this book because we all love the book "if animals kissed good night" which is from the same autor. But this is not as fun and good like the first one. Expected more.

Such beautiful drawings and colours. The book always gets my little one's attention! And I love the way animals are depicted in it. Must buy.
