Here's the Deal
This product is perfectly fine for the purpose. I know that the low price will scare some people, but don't be one of them. There's no need to pay more.First of all, a blower assembly consists of 3 components: a switch, a temperature sensor and a fan unit. That's all it amounts to. Doesn't get much simpler, and technologically there's literally nothing to choose from out of the 50 or so various components to choose from.Yes, there are some wires included, which are nothing but some precut 14 gauge with push on connectors attached to each end for your convenience.People complain about the directions, which I agree are useless, not because they're bad or confusing but because they're mostly non existent. So forget them.If you're buying this to replace an existing unit, just take out the old pieces and put the new pieces in the same place the old ones were and connect them up the same way. Again, there are only 3 of them. You can handle it. Trust me. You don't need to know the first thing about ..well, anything. Its a little more challenging if you're putting a blower where no blower has gone before, but not much. The sensor has a magnet which you attach to the case back. Doesn't much matter where. The switch goes in a hole so that the knob is on the outside. The blower fan goes in the only place it can fit. Find some pictures on line. None of this is brain surgery, but if you're afraid of it, grab any random freind who knows how to use a screwdriver to help you.Now here's what I did: my blower wasn't blowing and it was very cold outside. Obviously there are only 3 things that can go bad but I didn't have time to buy each piece individually. Plus, I paid $2500 for my Napoleon 1400, so 45 bucks five years later is not exactly an outrage.I popped the side panel open and rigged a jumper between the two wires on the temp sensor, thus completing the circuit. The blower should come on. Mine didn't, which means I have eliminated one third of all possible problems, Second, I changed out the existing switch for the new one in the box and voila, it came right on. If it hadn't, I would have unplugged the blower and plugged in the new one. As it is, I now have a spare blower in case I ever need one, which is a nice thing if you need heat. That's all. Done deal. Ten minutes. Took me longer to rummage around and find a 1/4" nut driver with a long shaft to use to take out the two screws that hold the side panel up than it did to get the thing running again. You can do this. Forget what people are saying about the directions. This one is easy.

Saves money but minimal instructions
This kit is significantly cheaper than other kits, which is ultimately what swayed me. It did not come with instructions just some tags on the wiring harness. If you are comfortable with understanding circuits than this is easy to install. All the equipment fit my fireplace and functions properly. The fan is noisy at full speed, but turn it down to 60%-75% and it is fairly quiet. If you want more support and installation help other more expensive kits are prewired and have more thorough instructions.

Extremely Happy with the fan.
Exactly as ordered. Fit like the factory $200 unit the local shop here was trying to sell me on. Installed in 45mins with no problems. This was on an older G3500N Napoleon unit.I read the reviews prior to buying this unit. Some complaints about it being loud. I Don't know what these people are talking about. I get an intermittent rattle but it's not from this Fan. It's coming from my Old Fireplace.Fan blows well for a little 9.5" unit. heats the house nice, and my place is 2 floors and 2250 sq/ft. Fireplace located in the down stairs rec room, I leave the door open for the heat to flow an viola! warm house.

Works fine but quite loud
Lots of fun to install but that's not this products fault, just not a lot of room for it. Works well, does a good job in directing air flow out to the room. Only complaint is that it is quite loud.

Great, high quality blower, but...
I recieved the Blower in a box that was very well packaged and protected. All items were of excellent quality and individually packaged in poly bags. All wiring needed to be completed by the installer and here is the only problem, THE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT MATCH THE ACTUAL WIRING INCLUDED. This was an install to a Fireplace that never had a blower.Taking time to look at all connections and some YouTube videos, I was able to figure out how to wire the unit. There are two items you may need, that are not included, one is a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter, to plug the unit into the outlet (my Fireplace had a 2 prong plug for power). The other item is a nut to attach the blower to the back wall of the fireplace. One side fits a slide in feature and the other is attached with a nut (the screw was available in the Fireplace. After getting the unit wired, the actuall installation was a 10 minute job. Afte starting the Fireplace the unit worked as intended, there was a delay while the firebox got to the 90 degree set point. When the blower thurned on, it was noise free (there is a large "rubber" pad on the side of the blower that mounts to the Fireplace wall). No excess noise caused by the blower, at highest speed, there is the noise of a fan, which is normal and to be expected. I ran the blower at a low speed that was unnoticable, but still supplied very good heated air.Now time will tell about the units durability. At this point, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Fantastic blower
This is a great fireplace blower! The price was the lowest I found. Installation was about 10 minutes and it was the first time I have ever installed a fireplace blower. It makes my fireplace so much more useable and efficient as a heat source. The adjustable speed control is great!Fan is quiet and has preformed flawlessly. We are on our second winter with this blower.

worked great and I saved a ton of money over OEM unit. noise is a little higher pitched than previous ones, just have to find the speed/noise balance that works for you.
