Giusti Is The Greatest Name In The History Of Balsamic Vinegars. First Documented As An Established Producer Of Balsamic Vinegar In Modena In 1605, Giuseppe Giusti Is Celebrated Worldwide For Superior Quality. Having Earned Countless Distinctions Through The Centuries, Including Supplier To Royalty, Giusti Continues To Receive Recognition And Demonstrate Its Excellence As An Extraordinary Producer Of Gourmet Vinegar. Balsamic Vinegar Is Not Wine Vinegar, But Is Rather Made From Unfermented Grape Pressings. The Fresh Juice Is Boiled Down To A Thick, Sweet Syrup. It Then Goes Into Wooden Barrels, Where, Along With A Vinegar Amother It Ages. This Process, Which Can Continue Indefinitely, Further Concentrates The Vinegar, While The Thickening And Sweetening Intensifies. The Choice Of Types Of Wood And Age Of The Barrels Contribute Further Character And Flavor To The Final Product.

Great quality and price
This Balsamic Vinegar is wonderful for the price. I use it on my salads mixed with olive oil, marinating, and cooking. I wish it was a little thicker but then I would probably be paying an arm and a leg for it. Tastes great and love the price, highly recommended.

Love it
I like the flavor for the price. I have tried cheap and expensive balsamic vinegar from many brands. This always carries the casket flavor or a woody flavor that a lot of balsamic vinegar's are lacking or have a lower intensity.

Thought it would be better than it is
I am not a fan of this vinegar. Unfortunately due to the rave reviews I thought I was getting a higher quality product, but this is a great example of "you get what you pay for". I didn't think I was getting an expensive syrup, but certainly this vinegar was much thinner than I thought. I disliked the taste and thought the acidity was a bit lower than it actually is (6%), but I guess that's my fault. There is depth in the flavor, somewhere, but the tinny tang upfront is not for me.The package was wrapped and shipped well so I have no complaints there. The only other good thing was that in ordering 3 bottles I could promptly reduce two into a syrupy glaze that is much more appealing, and fits back in one bottle. When it runs low I'll reduce the other bottle and then buy different vinegar.

Most Excellent!
Wonderful tasting Balsamic Vinegar...as good if not better than the expensive bottles. Mixes well with Olive Oil to make a very tasty Vinaigrette. Well worth the purchase price!

Rating: Good
This is a great buy at this price level. The only reason I am taking off a point is that I have tried one balsamic vinegar at a lower price range that managed to achieve that sweetness that would be found in higher priced vinegars (though, not the thickness). For this vinegar, the thickness is good and the flavor is well rounded enough for what it is.That being said, I will be upgrading to a higher priced vinegar for my next purchase. That sweetness that I crave in a vinegar cannot be extinguished, and I do not find it here. But, again, at this price level, this brand is a buy. You would be hard pressed to find something better within this budget.

We went to the factory and watched this product being made. You will be getting 400 years of product refinement, the best.
For us there is no finer balsamic vinegar. You will find a hundred new things to put balsamic vinegar on The taste is like good wine. The texture is thick almost a syrup, thick, dark color. You can invest in many futures, this product is an investment.

Very Bad Bottle Design
Not bad Balsamic..but the bottle design makes it impossible to pour a controlled flow and product runs down the outside every time making a sticky mess. I will not reorder.

You can use them in sauces, salad dressings & great in Bbq sauces. And they are nice on their own.
I liked both dark & light vinegars.
