Amon Amarth will release their new documentary and supporting live album(s), The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm – which includes a retrospective documentary that features a wealth of live and behind-the-scenes content and extensive band interviews. This film tells the Swedish quintet’s history, through both their own eyes and those of the fans that have supported them along the way. It is a thrilling collection that pays respect to the faithful, as well as making for a detailed and riveting introduction for those new to their inspiring story. Paired with this documentary is the live video/audio, which contains two different sets at 2017's Summer Breeze Festival in Dinkelsbuhl, Germany, capturing the unit at their very best.Having played the German festival numerous times over the years, and loving the family vibe they have always experienced there, Amon Amarth leapt at the chance to appear twice in the same year. Playing a secret, smaller scale set that focused primarily on older material, and then headlining the main stage with full production – including their giant sea serpent and lots of fire – allowed them to showcase their songs at their best – though putting together setlists from such a mighty catalogue was not the easiest of tasks. “For the first night, we wanted to write a set that the fans would enjoy by wholly diving into our back catalog but also keeping it interesting,” explains guitarist Olavi Mikkonen. “But putting the two shows together also made us realize that we have a lot of songs to choose from!”TRACK LISTING:T-Stage Show: August 16th, 20171. Mostly amazing.
They really glossed over the Oden on our Side / Twilight of the Thunder God part of their journey, which I thought was weird because that's when they really started gaining traction (at least here in the states) this is my one and only complaint with the documentary. Still a must have for any Amon Amarth fan.

Just be warned
No idea if this is happening to other buyers.Everything about this blu ray is great. The music and video quality is astounding.Reason why im giving it a 3 is due to the green line i get under the screen, I returned and received a different Blu-Ray disk and unfortunately it received the same green screen, I Used 2 different Blu-Ray players and had still the same line under the tv.If the green line isn't an issue for you, Then you will have a great experience with this!

If You Like Swedish Viking Death Metal - It's a Winner
Amon Amarth seem to be a rather unlikely successful band because lets be honest here, the market for Swedish Viking Death Metal would seem to be a rather narrow one. It's therefore a testament to the quality of the band that they have indeed broken out of the confines of a niche band and become something of a hit, certainly in the northern mainland European countries where they even managed a number one album in Germany. And, to be honest if you like metal then it's hard not to like Amon Amarth because despite the growly vocals that to be fair are not everyone's cup of tea - although I think they suit this genre perfectly - the actual music is simply some of the most headbangingly catchy, riffiest sound out there. Amon Amarth have utterly nailed what it means to make heavy metal that grabs you by the nads and doesn't let go.This 3 disc set is a great moment in time captured. The first disc is a documentary - which as it's by the band for the band isn't likely to be an expose - but is nevertheless a highly interesting back history. And the one thing that really does come across is that the members of the band are decent, humble and thoroughly nice blokes. Modest too. It's a nice antithesis to the overblown ego driven garbage that many global artists punt out.Discs 2 and 3 are the video and the CD of a live concert which captures Amon Amarth perfectly. Clearly they revile in the slightly silliness of it all but do display a genuine reverence of the old Viking histories that underlie their music.Overall, if you like very heavy but very catchy metal, then buy away. This is a great set of discs.

Son thought it was really good
My son said that the DVDs that come with the CD are really interesting, they tell you about how the band started and more. He also loves the CD too. Not my cup of tea but anyone liking this band should really enjoy listening and watching them

Another great performance by the Vikings.
Another amazing Amon Amarth performance captured live. The only complain is that the version i got does not include the T Stage show. Im confused because on the Metal Blade store and Amazon Uk page says that both shows are featured on dvd and blu ray. But for the price i think its worth it.
