LEGO779348 256 Piece Community Minifigure Set

My kids were recently introduced to legos through their friends, so I got this minifigures set and a couple of creator sets to start them off with. They love the variety of accessories and options for hair, hats, etc. for the minifigures and have a blast making up stories in imaginative play with them. All the pieces in the picture came with this set and the kids had fun figuring out how to replicate the scenes on the box. Some of the details are really fun, like a functioning mailbox, an open backpack that can hold things, bikes that stand up, fire and water. So many things to spark their imagination and also role play through the figures.I noticed, however, that there isn't much variety in the facial expressions and a figure can't have hair and wear a hat at the same time. The female heads (assuming by the full, red lips and eyeliner) have two faces on them, happy on one side and angry on the other, but the gender neutral/male heads just have one face. Kids don't seem to care much about the lack of face variety. They would have been happy if all the head pieces were blank lol.Overall a great purchase. My kids love the variety and there is plenty for sharing between several people playing at once. Also good value for the money, seeing the high cost of individual minifigures! I'll definitely be ordering the other LEGO Education minifigure set for them next.

This is a great minifig set. We actually got it to create an advent calendar for our kids (we have a reusable advent calendar with 24 boxes that we usually put candy in, but this was such fun!). The range of activities is cool, active/ outdoorsy, and very eco-friendly with a scuba diver, skate boarder, playground scenes, two bicycles, an urban farm, etc. The kids will have a lot of fun with this. We also like that there are about equal male and female figures. The super long grey beard is hilarious!Two small negatives/ good-to-knows:- Inside the box, all of the pieces of all of the minifigs are jumbled up in a total sea of pieces. Not one piece is joined to any other, and they are not grouped according to the pieces needed for a given minifig. There is no separation or categorization at all. It took two hours just to sort out the pieces into the ones needed for each set so that we could put the right pieces inside the advent calendar boxes. The packaging has pictures of each completed set/ figure, but not a list of the separate pieces for each set, so we had to figure that out from the picture of the completed set, making thsi even slower.- we find that the figures can't really hold things very well, and that it is difficult to get any of the things they are supposed to hold into their hands (ski pole, briefcase handle, bike handles, stretcher handles, etc). The kids basically need adult help for that.

I've a 9 yr old grandboy who is something of a Lego connossieur for his age. Most particular.We're fortunate here in Austin to have a stellar, all-Lego store I can periodically take him to to see the latest, the greatest, and the classics. This is also the world headquarters of National Instruments - who provides funding and mentoring for the more sophisticated of Lego "teams" and competitions, to which he aspires as soon as he ages just a bit more to qualify.He almost determines his next purchase according to the figures and mini-figures that accompany the set as a major part of his joy beyond the construction stage is the actual "games" he then makes up that engage the pieces.His decisions are most often funded via his combined fund we grandparents collect and contribute to for major occasions for him for gifts. This can build up substantially - so he really can afford to get pretty much whatever he wants at least 2x annually.This purchase was an extra-extra win in that department. I strongly recommend this brand but also how they have conceptualized what they add to the major pieces.Also - we have accidentally discovered, in part through the newsletter publication the Lego store locally makes availabe in print, but MUST also be online, podcasts by NON-Lego employees or contractors who contrast and compare the themes selected by Lego, as well as the sets in terms of value to collect. These are very often how-to and instructional, and though he's only 9 yrs, it was no challenge for him to watch and listen non-stop to a 1.5 hour of a video podcast of one of these. He happened to own one of the products - and was able to comment right along with the "pro" about what he argreed with or would change or add about what he was seeing and hearing. We had fun discovering this.So...if you purchase, look beyond the box. There is more related resource out there - and it's all free.

This set is much-loved by my 2.5 YO twins, and came with MUCH more than expected - I did not count all the people, but it seemed like more than what is shown in the picture. It is very hard to buy mini figures by themselves - at our local Lego store they are 3 for $10, or a mystery envelope with a single figure for $2.99. The figures in this kit include kids and adults, and are figures one might see around town rather than fantasy figures, i.e. mailman, baker, kids on skateboards and bikes, etc. The accessories are great, although a few are so small they are almost too hard for my kids to hold (i.e. sunglasses and cherries). My only (very small) beef with the set is that many of the women seem to be frowning.That being said, I highly recommend the set, it is a great value, well-made, and very enjoyable. Greatly enhances enjoyment of our other Legos, as we now have enough figures to share between 2 possessive boys and the many vehicles they make.

Wir haben diese Figuren für einen Grundschulhort mit 50 Kinder gekauft. Die Figuren sind bei den Kindern sehr gut angekommen. Sie konnte in kürzester Zeit zusammengebaut und ausprobiert werden. Es sind viele verschiedene Figuren in dieser Packung mit denen die Kinder verschiedene BerufsSzenen spielen können. Die Figuren verfügen über kleine Gegenstände die man mit in das Spiel einbinden kann.Die Figuren kann man auch gut als Anregung nutzen um mit den Kindern über Berufe und Berufswünsche zu sprechen.Sie sind gleichermaßen für Jungen und Mädchen ansprechend.Wir können dieses Set mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

kids have hours and hours of daily fun putting together creative characters in this set. Its best as a group activity with mulitple children for best pleasure and creativity.

C'est excellent pour compléter les boites sans personnages (honte à lego), mais le prix est complètement prohibitif. il faut vraiment être fan pour acheter cette petite boite. J'ajoute que deux figurines ne sont pas conformes, elles n'ont pas de ''trous'' pour s'asseoir, et doivent donc rester debout. Ce sont des enfants plus petits que les autres figurines, ils sont soit debout soit couchés. Ce n'est donc pas 22 figurines, mais 20 ( et même 18 si on retire les 2 bonhommes de neiges qui font juste de la décoration). Sinon on est obligé d'acheter des boîtes de 60 figurines qui n'ont pas toutes grand intérêt. Amazon n'est pas responsable. C'est lego qui se moque du monde. Aussi, je vais cesser me achats lego, déjà assez nombreux comme ça

What more could you ask of a Christmas present than it be easy to buy, swift in delivery, easy to wrap and, most importantly, attractive enough to keep several children, of all different ages, happy and busy all over the Christmas period and beyond?! This is great!
