I’m going to start off by saying I have fallen completely in love with these books and have no idea why it’s taken me so long to read them!The Remnant Chronicles is a trilogy comprised of The Kiss of Deception, The Heart of Betrayal, and The Beauty of Darkness, written by Mary E. Pearson. I got through this series so fast and it has now become one of my all time favourites. It follows Lia a young princess betrothed to a prince she’s never met before from a far away kingdom. Lia flees on her wedding day jilting her groom at the altar and sets off with her best friend for a new life in a close by town. There the prince tracks her down along with an assassin with orders to kill her. All three of them become intwined in a destiny far greater than themselves. There is plenty of romance, a great twist, plotting and betrayal threaded throughout the story and it is one that kept me turning page after page. I fell in love with literally every character (apart from Malich and the Komizar - you’ll know when you read it). If you are a fan of The Selection, Red Queen, or Ruined then you will absolutely love these books. I know I’ll be re-reading them for years to come.

The actual books are 5 star! The story is incredible however I was extremely disappointed to find when I went to read the last book that there had been an error in printing. This meant that the last 100 pages of the book were still stuck together and were quite a bit shorter than the rest. This mean I had to try to rip them open just to read the book! Amazing story but disappointed in the condition of the last book!
