Briggs & Stratton 594195 Crank Case Gasket

Been a week now mowed my thick 1 acre lawn 3 times. no more smoking. this gasket was the perfect fit, new bolts, and instructions. Way better designed then stock. Wider a bit thicker and material seems stronger no need to put any type of sealents or any thread locker as the bolts come prepped and ready to go.. so far its good ill update later on how its holding... 3 months later and no issues at all. Damn good gasket!

Initially I was thinking the price for a gasket alone is a little high, but.... As many have mentioned this is actually a 'kit' that comes with all the bolts needed for the lower crank case as well as the torque specs. Well worth it, simple install but take your time and do it right the first time. Definitely do yourself a favor and get a lower crank shaft seal as well as a oil pump cover and/or seal, its cheap insurance!

If you own a Briggs and Stratton engine, you will have to replace the original crankcase gasket sooner or later. This gasket appears to be high quality and comes with the cover bolts- complete with thread locker on them. Also included is an instruction sheet that includes the bolt torque spec and tightening sequence. Don't forget to get an oil pump plate o-ring as well. You'll want to install the oil pump drive shaft after installing the crankcase cover. It's way easier to line-up this way.

Just what you need to stop the leaks. I used red sealant but don't know if it was required. I also replaced the crank seal and quick oil drain plug. I'm guessing this gasket is of a higher grade than the original equipment.

Fit and is working well after 15 months. Don't understand why this gasked is so darn expensive. I guess it's the guess the torque to yield bolts.

worked great. JUST an FYI for anyone buying this gasket. It's seems expensive BUT what they don't tell you is that you get all NEW case bolts with it. Surprise. :)
