Amazing
I have been making cappuccino at home since the 90's. Currently I have two electric machines but wanted a stovetop for traveling. I've only used this once to test it, but it yielded the best froth I have seen. Better than either of my other machines. Definitely as good as coffee shop froth. Sorry about the froth not being in focus - didn't realize until I had poured the milk down the drain. I don't know if this is important, but the instructions to fill with water to the handle did not seem like a great idea - not much space for the steam to develop. I filled it to the halfway point. As others have stated, there is a knack to this. I kept the steam head just under the surface of the milk, about 1/8" to 1/4" and it worked great. Also, I did not open the steam valve much at all. For newbies, pay attention to the sound. There is a specific noise the steam makes in the milk that will tell you your technique is correct. Big bubbles should be avoided but sometimes they happen at first for a few seconds. If they continue, you are doing something wrong. Happy frothing!

Solid quality construction
I've only had it for about a week, but this appears to be a great product - heavy duty materials, with excellent fit and finish. Because of the extra mass, it does take some time to get up to steaming temperature, but once there provides continuous steam for a longer time. The steam valve operates smoothly and the wand is excellent for getting just the right aeration in your milk for lattes and cappuccinos. This is a high pressure steam device so read the (simple) instructions carefully and don't be careless with it. One morning, in a groggy state, I forgot to tighten the knob for the lid. Suddenly, there was a loud pop noise followed by loud hissing. It had popped the lid gasket out of position. After I climbed off the ceiling and realized there was no damage, I took it off the burner, repositioned the lid gasket, cranked it down tight, and it worked just fine.It did seem like a lot to spend for something to steam milk, but I recently replaced a cheap dying semi auto espresso machine with a simple lever machine and didn't want to resort to using a frother for my capps. Everything espresso is more expensive.

Good stand alone steamer.
As a stand alone steamer this works great. One just has to clean the steam holes periodically to prevent blockage.

Awesome steamer, but the internal bolts are rusting
Love this steamer but internal nuts are rusting and Bellman doesn't sell spares smh

Take’s practice
After buying two other devices to froth milk, one that stopped working after a few months and one that hardly worked at all, I thought that someone must make a steamer like ones that are part of an espresso machine, but without the coffee maker. That’s when I found this. It has taken a lot of practice, but finally we got it to work. Don’t put a lot of water in it and wait for steam to come out of the little holes on the tube in front of the handle, and you will get the milk to froth up nicely. Don’t give up - I almost did - it will work.

Not enough steam
The steam produced was not enough to froth the milk
