Beautiful and well crafted - a great value
I value none of my cake pans more than my Nordic Ware and I’ve had this pan on my wish list for several years now. It exceeded expectations on arrival. The weight and craftsmanship is just what I’d expected but I think it’s prettier in person. Nigella Lawson has a beautiful and delicious Christmas cake using this pan in her Nigel’s Christmas cookbook and it makes a beautiful chocolate cake too, especially when sprinkled with powdered sugar for a snowy effect. I will be using this for Christmas but in the near future am using it for a Louise Penny book club gathering - a nod to Three Pines. I’m very happy with my purchase and if you’re new to Nordic Ware, cakes come away beautifully when you butter well. I sprinkle cocoa on the butter for my chocolate cakes and regular sugar for my lighter cakes, which has a wonderful caramelizing effect but also helps the cake slip right out. Do not use cooking spray and wash with simple soap and warm water in sink (no dishwasher). You’ll be able to pass your pan on to your grandchildren.

I love this cake pan
Very interesting shape. Finished cakes look great! Very thick and sturdy. Intricate sculpting, but still releases the cake easily if you grease with Pam Baking Spray first.

Creates a neat looking cake
The pan is light yet great Nordic quality and value - I got on a sale around the holidays. I made a dark chocolate cake for work and received many compliments on the appearance especially. I'd sprinkled sifted powdered sugar over the top and around the sides, and added round powdered sugar cookies (walnut balls) all around the sides as 'snow balls'. It turned out great! I learned from reading the Nordic pan label that I'd been treating my bundt cake pans all wrong - - particularly use of nonstick spray. I've shied away from these decorative pans after having one shaped as a castle years ago that was really neat (nieces, nephews and my husband loved those cakes) but extremely hard to clean all the little crevices afterward - - or in some instances for the cake to come out of the pan fully intact. I was also soaking the pan as a result, which I recently learned you're not supposed to do. So, following the instructions goes a long way! No problems with this pan although partly for my learning more about its care and how to use it. Great purchase and look forward to a lifetime of uses, as the Nordicware is such a quality product (yet not cheap - watch for a sale!). I recommend or would purchase again.

So great that I'd buy this pan again!
I was excited to get this pan and feel and see the quality of this pan. I was anxious to get started baking cakes to give as gifts for Christmas but scared I may not grease and flour the pan well enough to turn them out in one piece. After reading reviews and tips from them I decided it was time to try it out. I applied Crisco using a pastry brush in order to ensure I got into all the nooks and crannies and then sifted a bit of flour into the pan. I used a cake mix with instant pudding recipe for my first attempt at baking a cake in this pan and overfilled the pan considerably. The cake didn't run over the pan but created a nice little lift. On the plate that I was able to disguise by tucking homemade cookies around it. I cooled for the recommended amount of time and then turned my cake onto a plate. It was perfect and looked quite festive when I sifted a bit of powdered sugar instead of a glaze. My favorite cake was a coconut rum cake I made and kept for my house.Clean up was not too bad as I used a baby bottle brush to get into all those little crannies. I have a wish list of other Nordic Ware bundt pans that I hope family will gift to me for special occasions. Can't wait till Mother's Day, hint hint! I think my sister is interested in this brand too.

Really effective
I love this Bundt pan. The cakes turn out really good. I added Wilton dark green gel to a made from scratch Madeira cake so I got a green forest, which I dusted with iridescent white edible glitter. It looked and tasted great for a for pre Christmas party. It has a smaller capacity than some if the other Bundt pans, and needs around 6-7 cups of batter to allow room for the cake to rise. It is not as difficult to clean as some of the other Bundt pans. Where I live, New Zealand, you can’t buy Bakers Joy or any cooking spray with added flour. Instead I used equal parts of white vegetable shortening, vegetable oil and flour as recommended on baking forums and store it in the fridge. I made it in bulk as I have a few Bundt pans and added a little green gel to it for this cake as it can leave white/cream marks from the flour on the cake. Use a firm cake, e.g. banana, Madeira or pound type cakes for best results. I put a wire cake rack underneath, flipped it over and the cake just slid out with no issues. A lighter cake like a sponge would probably not work so well. I use a regular dishwashing brush, plus one of those little disposable mascara wands (sold on Amazon) which ensures a more thorough clean of the nooks and crannies on Bundt tins. Makes cleaning so much quicker and easier.

Grease or spray Pam well!
This pan makes cakes so pretty, but you absolutely have to grease or spray the pan EXTREMELY well yo make sure you can get the cake out cleanly. It took me 2 tries of a recipe to get it to come out.

Nordic Ware Pine Forest Bundt Pan is beauty itself, and produces beautiful cakes!
One of the absolute stars in my Nordic Ware Bundt Pan collection is this Pine Forest Bundt Pan. When I use this pan to make one of my cakes, the accolades never seem to cease. Nordic Ware is made in the USA, of heavy aluminum which has a nonreactive nonstick coating. Generally, I do not use aluminum pots and pans, but since these pans have a good thick coating that is nonstick, the food is protected from the aluminum, while being able to benefit from the wonderful even-heat cooking properties of aluminum.I do butter and flour the pans prior to use, and bake until the cake is done; a cake tester or toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, and the cake just begins to pull away from the inside of the pan (see photo). I love Nordic Ware, and the fact that they are made here in the USA simply puts it right over the top, in terms of quality, performance, and patronizing a good American company and supporting American jobs.
