Worth it!
The package arrived ahead of time and in great condition! Each of the four packages inside the big box were plastic wrapped, paper wrapped, and then bubble wrapped. All of them are paperback except for a few books in the "10 special issues" package. The hardbound books are 1) the Mahabharata, 2) Bhagawat, and 3) Tulsidas' Ramayana. I was debating on this purchase for a long time specifically because of the price tag but I think it's worth it. A complementary pencil set along with a hand signed card was included. There are 73 Orange books which are mythological in nature, 45 Red books that are of historical personalities, 45 Green books that have tales from the Panchatantra, Jataka tales, Birbal, etc. Also included are 36 Blue books about various personalities in recent history, 7 Brown books on mythological love/romantic stories I think, and 2 Yellow books more of contemporary nature. The total MSRP in INR is about 25000. The $480 I paid for this is about INR 35000.For a bibliophile wanting to learn about Indian culture, this is a great buy. I'm from Bangalore and am working in the US now. I'm married to an American who is also interested in learning more about Indian culture. As an educational tool for myself, him and our future kids, this will be great! We're both excited to go through these.

A must have master piece for young minds
I ordered ACK ultimate collection for my 6 year old and it arrived well intime. I took a fair amount of time to look at the entire package and myreview is based on those findings. The first thing that stand out is ACK publishers are doing an excellent jobUNDER SELLING a master piece crafted by late Mr.Pai and his team. Western worldspends time/effort/money in promoting whatever crap they sell and they justdon't stop talking about it making the kids go hysterical about thebooks/swag/movies/whatever they sell. ACK publishers clearly need to graduateto the next level of marketing *before its too late*.The entire collection is divided in 5 broad categories with the following colorcoding (on the front cover) as follows:-- Orange.. Books about Hindu Gods and Goddesses-- Green... Books that preach good actions (Elephant stories, bird stories, monkey stories etc)-- Grey.... Books on mythological stories by ancient authors-- Red..... Books on great kings/warriors-- Blue.... Books on eminent personalities (freedom fighters, scientists, social workers etc)There is also a separate pack of books for Mahabharat exclusively; most likelyhard bound. Not opened that pack yet.Positive points:-- ACK media says this collection has 210 books in all. What I found is a fewmore than 210 books. Thanks!!-- Paper & print quality is good. Language is coherent.-- Seller also added an English language novel (complimentary, I guess).Negative points:-- Shoddy packing to say the least. The card board box that arrived wasof sub standard quality and as a result few of the comics inside were folded onthe sides. Some were even slightly damaged on the sides.-- Three/four comics are clearly NOT new; rather old/used ones. Its pricey for sure but compared to the knowledge/insight it offers to youngkids, I am more than happy paying the premium price. May be I'll edit thisreview and share a few pics soon.Hope this review helps.

Great collection!
I highly recommend this collection, especially for NRI kids. It's a great way to teach culture. Â The books arrived in great condition from the Amazon Seller - Savitri Ent. Please do read the article in the Atlantic titled, "The Dark Side of the Comics That Redefined Hinduism" and keep in mind the issues raised to reduce any unconscious bias. Nevertheless, it is still a great collection for kids to learn the history and culture of India!

Huge collection of classics.
The packaging could have been of a slightly higher quality, but otherwise this is a wonderful collection.

Very happy with the purchase
Bought these because I was feeling nostalgic about by child hood years. Grew up reading these. And I am still enjoying reading these. Packaging was good (the main Amar Chitra Katha box was inside a sturdier box),no damages. Comic books seem to be new.

This series of Amar Chitra Katha is really useful, especially for the kids. Makes them at least busy instead of watchingTV for a few hours.
