Prompt delivery. Very easy to set up with my ten-year-old Samsung TV. The sound is clear and precise and I can enjoy my TV without the volume so high as to disturb ‘she who must not be disturbed’. The headset is quite light and I found once I had adjusted the headset arms so that the earpieces lay comfortably in my ear, I began to enjoy my listening experience.I found battery life can vary between six and eight hours, perhaps more. Its worth switching off the headset when not in use for short periods; or replacing on the base cradle to recharge if you are taking a longer break, i.e., for a meal.Unfortunately, the headset ceased working on February 2nd, well within the warranty period. I emailed Simolio Support who responded next day when they asked me to carry out a couple of simple tests. The tests confirmed the headset was ‘dead’ and they then informed me that they would send me a replacement. I’m now hearing again after only 7 days. Well done Simolio.

If your TV has no Bluetooth you can use these headphones with the earphone jack on the TV. Very clear and loud and simple to operate.

I couldn’t get any sound with these headphones so my engineer partner had a go for me. He managed to get sound on the radio but it was so distorted that we could barely recognise the song. The TV sound was zero but the mic worked perfectly. So if you are hard of hearing this is a good alternative to a hearing aid.They’re quite easy to set up but the instructions are not clear enough. Charging up the unit should be at the front of the booklet not the back as this is the first thing you need to do. The red light never came on to tell me the unit was charging but it could have been already charged up, I had no idea. Very disappointing and frustrating to say the least. :(

I bought this for my disabled mother in law. Unfortunately the cradle for the headset is on the bit that plugs into the TV so is on the other side of the room. So I had to buy leads to go round the room so the cradle can sit within reach, otherwise she cannot recharge the headset. It seems the other contenders all have the same design flaw. It would be better to have a transmitter at the tv and the recharger cradle as separate but of course that would put the cost up.It is a shame as the unit ran ok on power from USB socket on the Hitachi tv which saved a wall socket.Another design flaw is that the microphone button is on the back of the headset so you cannot see it. She could not find the button unless she has the headset on backwards, then you cant see the red light to say the mike is on.The charger has quite small contacts which don't look like they will survive if the headset is plonked back in the wrong place or the wrong way round. She managed to bend the contact on her telephone handset that had contacts about ten times wider but at least they were robust enough to be bent back. These look as though they will just snap off.Check that the RCA sockets on you TV are output. If you just have one set they are probably input so will not work. Headphone sockets often mute the tv when used so if others want to watch you need to get a HDMI to RCA output converter which costs about £5.Having said all that the sound quality is good and she was delighted to be able to hear the tv and have a conversation. (She wont wear a hearing aid). She didn't find the headset heavy although I found it uncomfortable and prefer headphones.

Had a problem getting any sound from my tv upstairs. Gave to my husband, plugged into his Virgin Tivo box and worked perfectly. I know I could have got product support but decided to give to hubby as a birthday gift. He is "over "the moon" with them. Clear sound and the best volume ever on a headphone set that I have heard.

This is an amazing product. I have Menieres Disease, bilateral hearing loss and tinutus, I wasn't able to watch TV without the volume being 80+. that's way too loud for a normal volume & my husband. so we rarely watched TV together, but this little device has changed that, we can watch same programs, with normal volume for him & I wear my earphones, The speaking and volume are in sync, there is a adjusting setting for volumes.
