SOFT HAIR AND NICELY MADE
This wig is very nicely made. It fits our sons ages 7, 9, and 11 very well. It has a ponytail in the back with long curls. Very impressive to look at with a nice hat. I bought this to use with the British Redcoat and American Patriot costumes by California Costumes. So much fun for my boys.

Great colonial wig
We live overseas and I had thought the wig would need recurling when it arrived but surprisingly it looked amazing on my son with very minimal retouching needed. It really looks great on but probably not suited for boys with large heads. My son is 9 and I don't think he will be able to fit much longer.

Great play toy but easily becomes deformed... but hey, what did you expect from the price?
My son is obsessed with the colonial era. This is a great wig for dress up. It is cheap and what can you expect when something is that way??? A couple of uses and it is pretty much deformed. But well, he still uses it even though has come undone.

Just what my 7 year old needed for her report!
I purchased this wig after my daughter came home with an assignment to do a report on Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with her hair, that is until I saw this wig. Even though it's A'la George Washington, it was perfect for replicating Stanton's hair. Her costume was perfect and the wig held up to a rambunctious 2nd grader. I stored it in a large freezer bag and it has yet to become frizzy.

... compelled to help out - this wig is not great, not horrible
Halloween is approaching and I feel compelled to help out - this wig is not great, not horrible. About what you would expect for $11. I have two comments: the style and the sizing.STYLEThe picture in the photo depicts the wig as extending well past the ears towards the chin. What you will actually get is a wig that is considerable shorter and barely covers the ears. My daughter is 9 years old and has a fairly small head. She will be wearing a crown on her head, so we need the length on the sides. The shortness is a disadvantage.SIZINGReviews are so subjective - I read one that states this wig fit 11 and 12-year olds. I can't imagine it does. Maybe that reviewer had a wig from an earlier batch with different sizing? Maybe the reviewer wasn't as discriminating as I am with the fit? If I had this to do all over again, I would purchase an adult-size wig because I need the length on the sides for my daughter's costume. As it is, it's not horrible and the effort to return/exchange it is not worth my time. I would recommend this wig for kids up to 7 years old.

great
For a costume wig this was money well spent. My daughter used it for a school project and it worked prefectly! The hair seemed to stay in place which is much different from other costume wigs we've purchased in the past.

Perfect for quick school projects!
This was the perfect wig for my sons costume! I was worried it would get all tangled up at school but it held together nicely. He could still use it if he needed to, which is great since boys aren't generally easy on their things, haha!

21st Century George Washington!
Not as itchy as you'd expect it to be. Look at that (un)powdered wig! How can it not drive you mad and force you to rip it off your head and scratch like a madman/woman? There is a netting on the inside that does the trick helping you live the life of a colonial child for hours of endless enjoyment.. This fit a 10-year old head perfectly. If you want to look like George (or Martha, for that matter!) Washington or a colonial person out of central casting you can't go wrong with this colonial wig. It's a winner! Now where's my corncob pipe and musket?
