THEE annotating pens of all time. Fine tip that won't bleed through ideal for writing in books. Also good for simple math problems. Looks clean, looks cool. Sort of similar to the metal zebra pens but lighter and you don't need to press as hard. Not crunchy (like the pilot g2--yuck!)

I work as a Registered Nurse, 90% of the time as a Charge Nurse using black and blue pens day in and day out. Writing down notes, creating schedules and editing them, signing forms, translating awful MD handwriting into something legible and everything else in between, we put these to work, myself and the other charge nurse love them. Lightweight, highly comfortable. Ink flows well, they last a long time, staff loves to steal them from us. Doesn't smear. Good value, I constantly try out different brands of pens and keep returning to these. Perfect fineness to the line.

For many, many years my favorite ink pen for general use has been this Pilot pen. It is so basic, it just works all the time and if you end up completely depleting the tube that hold the ink then you simply purchase the refills and then insert them into the pen. Everybody knows that there are so many promotional ball point pens on the market and you get one and you use it for a while and then it stops working. This pen does not have that problem. There is only one aspect of this pen's manufacturing that is just the smallest bit of a shortcoming. The body of the pen is made of a type of plastic that is slightly brittle and if you subject it to significant force/pressure it will cause the plastic body to crack or break. This is the only shortcoming that I can think of after years of using this type of pen and it has been a rare event that the plastic body or the pen has cracked or broken.

These pens have a fine line, which make handwriting extremely neat. I like the retractable feature as well--no lids needed. The color choice is great too.

I personally prefer the medium point InkJoy 550. That being said . . . Pilot Better Retractable Ballpoint Pen is 1 of the smoothest writing fine point pens I have used - not that I have tried all of them. The 10 count bundle pack has 4 each of black & blue, and 2 red pens. Plenty to share. The price point is good. The quality is good. I use them when I have paperwork to fill out. Being fine point, they write more cleanly than medium point or fountain pens. I can write smaller if necessary, without everything smudging together. And unless you get a lemon, they don't blob & have a long life. I don't know what other colors are available now. Once upon a time - as in 40'ish years ago - there were also green, pink, & purple. It just hasn't been important enough to me to take the time to find out. But I digress. The barrel is ridged in the area a person normally holds a pen & is skinny'ish. That could present a problem for those with sensitive fingers or have problems gripping / holding small objects. I use a pencil grip on mine so they're comfortable for me to use. I do keep a small stash of them. Do I recommend them? You bet'cha. Would I gift them? Yep.

This is my second order if these pens. I just love them perfect for work. The writing quality is perfect for documention. The fine point is perfect with great ink flow with perfect writing grip as well.

love this pens easy to use. It writes smoothly and doesn’t smudge would definitely recommend. I also love how its thin and all not like the normal ball point pen.
