Nike SB Embarca Medium – Men's Rucksack

I love this bag. I first got the black/yellow one from nike.com, but realized it looked bad and clashed with my winter jacket. I was happy to find this different color on amazon and decided to buy it again and keep the other one for the summer. I am not a skateboarder, but I love the look of Nike SB products, esp their hats. The reason I like this bag is it is really slim, so it keeps my gym bag to just the essentials without "puffing out" and being bulky on the subway -- this is a small bag and you have to pack only the essentials. All my content stays close to my back and I am never allowed to over pack it cause it only goes so far in square inches, and I mean this as a good thing. Also, since the zipper goes all the way around, and due to its proportions you have to open the whole bag and thoughtfully place items in it as opposed to just dumping stuff inside like I do with my deeper bags -- I miss that convenience but the side effect is I am way smarter about how I pack my contents, keeping it very tight. This is a bag def for carrying less, and if I need more I use a different backpack. It is also a great "small bag" for flights to supplement your larger carry on item. It fit great under the seat in front of me. The only thing I miss is having a water holder on the outside, I had to switch to a leak-proof bottle so I could throw it on the inside. As far as quality, the fabric is great, but I do think the zippers' plastic are on the lower-end by comparison, hopefully they stand up to lots of usage as they look and feel flimsy.

I'm madly in love with this backpack. It looks nice and normal size, though I fit enough stuff in there to last me backpacking for 2 months. And it was late fall, so clothes and shoes were not exactly small and light. Strongly recommend for any reason from school to long backpacking trips.

Gave this to my son for Christmas and she loves it! Fits his wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads, and helmet easily. He also has room to pack a snack, bottle of water, and change of clothes. The straps hold the skateboard nicely, although it works best if the bag is close to full. On an empty backpack that bag doesn't have as much structure and the skateboards tend to flop a bit more.
