Women's Plus Size Mini Skater Skirt Basic Versatile Stretchy Flared Casual Skirts with Pockets

For context, I'm a guy that recently started wearing skirts to expand my wardrobe beyond typical men’s clothing. I recently picked up two of these in black. The best feature that I, as a guy, miss the most in the new world of wearing skirts is the lack of pockets. This one has decent usable ones that are about 6 inches (15.24 cm) deep. They are large enough to hold my belongings, my thick "dude wallet" and keys on the right, and my large iPhone Pro Max on the left. Both items weigh in at a combined over 1 pound 2 ounces (502 g). I'm actually carrying my things in the pockets. The photos were taken by someone else to show how well the skirt handles the weight, it does it incredibly well. You can't really tell that the pockets are full and I'm carrying these big items in the pockets unless you really look very closely. I was walking comfortably all day and the very nice 2 and 1/4 inch (5.7 cm) thick elastic waistband held up very well even with the added weight. The fabric is of good quality but it is a little rough to the touch on the outside and noticeably softer on the inside. The fabric has good mass. It weighs 11.55 ounces (327 g). For reference, I'm a big guy, 6 feet tall, 265 pounds (120 kg), with a 44 inch (111 cm) waist. On Amazon's recommendation, I picked up the XX-Large Plus size and it fits me very well. It stays up and has a good length. When the skirts arrived, they were packaged in a small box inside a plastic bag. Upon taking them out and trying them on, the pleats were very sloppy and wrinkled. I think the packaging contributed to this, but luckily the pleats have since relaxed and the wrinkling is slowly disappearing. I was afraid they might have been damaged, but thankfully not. Again, having pockets is such a game changer. I'm very happy with my purchase. If you are a guy thinking about trying skirts but worried about practicality, this is a solid starting point. Functional, comfortable, and confidence boosting. I just wish they offered more colors besides black, red, and white.

These skirts are absolutely amazing. The fabric feels thick and breathable with a nice stretch to it. I sized down according to their size chart. I normally wear an 18-20, I bought the 2x to get a little shorter length. It fits me perfectly. I'm 5'5/250lbs, and with it placed on my hips the skirt is just below my knee. When I pull it up, as I prefer, it's just an inch above the knee which is perfect for me. The pockets have sold me. They are decently sized and putting my phone in there doesn't feel like it's going to pull my skirt off, win win!

I really love this skirt! It fits perfectly while being soft, comfortable, and cute working for multiple occasions. For the price, it is actually very well made and feels like something you would pay $30+ for. The material is very breathable and has a good amount of stretch, while having that mildly textured feel. It fits true to size and accommodates plus sizes which is really nice. At roughly $13 at the time of purchase, this was a must... and I haven't mentioned the best part, It has pockets!! 5 stars!

A great piece for both casual and slightly dressier outfits.

Well, this was disappointing. I picked up skirt as it was described as a “tennis skirt”. Tennis skirts/dresses have built in shorts to the skirt and these did not. The material was also NOT your typical athletic wear. It was neither soft yoga material, nor was it the sleek cooling material you see on leggings and other athletic skirts/dresses. It was a cheap thick fabric that wrinkled very easily. Quality of the material was just not good. The shape of the skirt was fine and slimming. I’m an apple shaped plus size woman and this was mostly flattering. It sat high on my waist and had a cute flare and pockets. However the material was just so off putting that I didn’t enjoy wearing the skirt. It also wrinkled very easily. I’m only 5’ tall and this skirt came to about mid to low thigh for me because of my Apple shape. Not terrible for the price (just under $20 as of today’s review), but definitely not as expected to what most people are looking for when they search for tennis skirts. Overall there are better options out there and I wouldn’t personally order this again. For reference I’m a size 3 in a famous in store brand, and generally wear a 3X and ordered the 4X and found it to be comfortable. A 3X would have worked but felt snug.
