There are lots of cloze procedure or fill-in-the-blank exercises that are helpful and which revolve around stories. In regard to the grammar, all major English grammar points are covered and explained well. There are traditional examples of acronyms or mnemonic devices to help remember rules such as FANBOYS for the conjunctions. There is also a helpful verb chart with all 12 tenses. There is also a chapter for punctuation including commas which is very helpful. This could also be helpful for ESL students at the intermediate or early advanced level.
