MoenYB2303CH Glyde Robe Hook, Chrome

I have purchased Moen hooks in the past and have loved them. The problem with these newer hooks is that the mounting hardware that attaches to the wall is now plastic instead of metal. I was very disappointed with this change. The hooks look great once installed but I am worried about the durability as years go on.

The locking mechanism is awful and would not buy these hooks again. I was hopeful because I had purchased a different style Moen towel hook and I loved how easy it was to install (small tiny screw to connect the two pieces). But this one relies on a plastic locking mechanism that clicks in place, not all of the hooks would click in place. Some were easier than others. Very very frustrating install.

So many shower hooks are plastic and feel cheap. I purchased 3 of these based on reviews and was not disappointed. Very easy to install. We opted to mount 2 on a solid wood door and one on the wall by the shower to place a towel while bathing. These work perfect.

I now see several other people who are having the same mounting issue where the hook will not stay attached to the wall. I also see several reviews where people say that it was super easy to put together. Not sure what they are doing that I am not but my hook will not stay attached to the wall.

The Moen Glyde Robe Hook, Chrome is sleek and attractive. I found it very easy to install, and it works great to hold a large fluffy bath towel. I appreciate the minimalist design, so many bath items are fussy and faux-tiquey. As do most wall gooks/towel bars, etc these days, it uses a plastic mounting bracket. The hook is designed to be removable, but I would use caution when doing so to avoid damaging the plastic mount.

Perfect for my new half bath. I bought the matching toilet paper holder and both are beautiful brushed nickel. Easy to install and look very pretty with my new brushed nickel faucet.See pics. Sturdy product. Would recommend.

I love the design of the Moen Glyde series. Very easy to install, but does not include a screw to install in a stud. A bit expensive for the brushed nickel version - the chrome version is less than half the price.

This thing looks nice and modern, and matches the other fixtures in my bathroom. But it will not stay in the mount that it comes with. The gentlest tug of a towel pulls it right off the door-rendering it useless.I wish I was still in the return window. Don't buy this. Buy something else.

Very happy with the quality of this robe hook, very good brushed nickel finish and I was happy with the price. A good contemporary design
