Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 13 Paperback – November 3, 2009

If your a fan of Ouran, your probably going to want to get or at least read the whole set. I read the last 6 volumes in a short period of time, so I don't remember all the details of the seperate volumes. This Volume continues with the same light hearted comedy mixed with the drama of the Love triangle between Hikaru, Tamaki and unbeknown to her, Haruhi. The later books really deepen the character development, so that one doesn't see the characters as "the host club" but rather as Mori, Honey, Tamaki, Kyoya, Hikaru, Kauro and Haruhi. This is one of my favorite Manga series, not just shoujo manga but manga in general.

Another wonderful volume of Ouran Highschool host Club! Full of fun that should never end. I could give you the synopsis but I'm sure by now you know it. This volume is a must read, especially for any OHSHC fan. Mind you people who have come directly over from the anime, it's better to start at the beginning rather than the middle as it is quite different.

anyone who has seen the show, well you don't know what you are missing, the show only covers the first 8 or so volumes and it gets a lot more interesting from that point on. If you loved the anime you owe it to yourself to read the real thing

The story is becoming so intense, but in a good way! I really enjoyed this volume.

I was pretty depressed at the overall tone of volume 12. There was a lot of introspection, and the club was split up in various places, so a lot of the humor that springs from the twins goading Tamaki, or Kyoya goading Tamaki, was missing. Luckily, things are back in a big way to being the funny host club I love. Kyoya is back from France, and Tamaki seems perfectly normal and back to his old self. There are a few precious panels with my faves Nekozawa and Kasanoda, but not enough...and then there is a little bit of love-introspection, but it's done in a funny way. Haruhi still seems like she's in the background here, but I don't care because it's well done. Mei comes back as a deus ex machina, but Ranka is not in the story at all. Oh well! Looking forward to #14!

What I really liked about this book was that it has a really good cliffhanger and it makes you want to learn more about what happends to the heroine and the other characters of the series.

Our teen daughter loves this series!
