Better than the image provided by the vendor.
Completely delighted by the quality. Big thick well applied rubber end stops. Super thick metal with large diameter Stanton arms, well welded (but I’m no expert on welding but can see the quality) to the strong bracket which fits well on either of my two sets of ladders. No need for any adaptations as I had seen on other reviews. To be honest this device makes my ladders look like the week link. However felt none of my usual wobbly knee moments. Pondered about the price but feel that for quality and how much I trust it’s protection from slipping and lateral movement. It’s brilliant. I’ve never trusted anyone to hold the ladder still with a foot or hand. Just take time to set it up so you are 100% happy with the set up. Well worth it!

Makes your ladder more stable.
I feel much safer when these two legs are fitted at the base of my ladder. It does add a bit of extra time to fit and adjust to match any changes in uneven surfaces when you move the ladder to a new location, but I think the extra safety is well worth the few extra minutes to do this. (I have also bought from Amazon four small rubber anti slip mats, so I am extra safe in getting a very stable ladder). The only very slight negative comment is the two U shape connectors which could have had a slightly longer screwed area on the two end parts of the U. Sometimes, perhaps due to an uneven surface, when I tighten the two nuts I run out of the screwed length and thus the leg is then still loose. However, I solved this by slipping wedge shaped pieces of wood to take up the slack, and secured the two legs firmly to the ladder. The wedges solves this problem. See picture of a wedge fitted.Apart from that very minor and easily solved problem, this is a well design and manufactured way of adding a bit of stability and I would recommend this to anyone using ladders.

Was it going to stable when in use
I liked the fact that the ladder was stable.I wouldn't say I liked that it was painful to make it so; it was awkward to adjust when erect.

Good but not easy to use
So brought this to give my old ladder some security when doing high jobs. It does do that given the service is even and there is plenty of room. If not its a pig. Just this morning spent more time adjusting and setting these supports than it took me to do the job. However, once set up and tighten and level and you've got the ladder feet on the ground and the ladder resting evenly at the top, they are very good. But for the hassle factor I properly would have chosen an alternative.
