Don't waste your money
If I could give this zero stars, I would. The unit appeared to power up. At least, I guess that's what happened, as the led on the front of the unit changed from red to green. Couldn't get any signal out of the box to my tv. Not even the menu would come up. Piece of garbage. I returned it. Don't waste your time or money on this item.

Converts signals and shows channels, but does not record to the usb. The instructions to update firmware are non-existant except to direct to www.mediasonic.ca, where no firmware exists and this product isn't even listed at all. Therefore, there is no PVR function. No tech support - no telephone number at all in the box or manual, and neither can it be found online.

Not comparable with my TV. I thought this would work to convert the new digital signal for my old TV but apparently it will not work with many TVs. It should emphisize this more on the description. However Amazon is AWESOME when it comes to returns.
