Cygnett Lavish Earth Folio Case for iPad 4 (CY0726CILAV)

This case is really well designed. It lays at great angles for watching, reasing, and typing. It does not lay completely flat, but i read often on it and have no trouble holding it in a comfortable position. It really does seem sturdy and i expect it will last a long time.The purple is much darker than I expected--so dark that I thought I'd received a brown case at first. This was a little disappointing, though under fluorescent lighting, it looks lighter like the picture.New iPad owners: the case comes with a little bag that contains a magnet and instructions for installing it. Make sure you follow the instructions and align the magnet on the cover carefully-- if you don't, the wake/sleep function won't work. And moving the magnet once you place it might tear up or smudge the cover (I had to move mine just a fraction and the adhesive almost tore the case). Once you install the magnet in the correct position, that feature works perfectly.Overall, I wish I didn't have to install my own magnet, but I'm still very impressed with the construction and functionality of this case.

I've had an iPad4 since 2012 and when it was purchased this particular case was also available and on sale in purple. I knew I wanted to protect my iPad with some kind of a case so I bought this one.That was three years ago. Although it has held up extremely well, I happened to see Amazon had the same case in purple on sale. I decided since I have liked it so well, I would get another to have on hand for when the old one wears out so I purchased this one via Amazon.This case has several features:* it keeps the iPad cleaner when inside the case than it would if it was not in a case* although it is not a hard case, it does help protect it somewhat and might survive a minimal fall* it automatically shuts the iPad down when it is closed* it allows slanted positions to stand it up in landscape mode which is a nice feature* easy to use at a table, your lap or even on a bed because of the way it can stand up* a person can grab onto it and hold it with the cover flipped backwards to use that way* it gives a more secure grip to the iPad with the case than without it* all of the buttons are accessible and easy to use when inside the case* it's easy to get the iPad in and out of if you wish to remove itMy first Cygnett case has not really worn out enough to change it yet, but I will have this one to switch to when it has. It's a nice case and I'm very satisfied with it.

Fits my iPad 3 perfectly. The silver finish on the center edge can wear off over time if you are constantly touching it there. So I avoid grabbing it in the center. It does what it is designed to do, protect the iPad. It also gives you several landscape viewing positions when you hold it in your lap. You can also take photos through it, without removing the cover. This is my second one, and I like it. Great price too.

This is a very nice case for the price. The color is very conservative, yet unique (I got the purple one) and the case is well made. Soft leather-like exterior and perhaps something like a microsuede on the inside. I use it with a new generation iPad, or "iPad 3" and the sleep/wake function works perfectly! No extra magnets were included, nor are they needed. I think perhaps the reviews that refer to having to install an extra magnet could be refering to the iPad 2 Cygnett case...there are two versions of the purple iPad case. I just noticed today that Amazon now has them listed to distinguish between the two cases. The iPad fits snugly inside and none of the cameras are obstructed. If I had to make any complaints, it would be that the sleep/volume buttons are a bit hard to access, but at the same time this may prevent accidental button pressing during use. The case is not bulky, and the stand feature works very well. You have essentially four options for positioning the iPad for horizontal use; the three angles using the front cover, and a fourth by folding the front cover back completely. This allows a slight elevation when it is placed on a desk, for example. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend!

Not what I expected given the price. I have owned this a few months. First off, it's not purple. It's a brownish plum color and it's getting more brown. The clasp has discolored...it was a silver color but that has rubbed off and now looks dirty. The edges have already started to bend and degrade. Also, the 3-angle viewing is also starting to become so worn that it's hard to prop the IPad up and have it stay unless I'm using it on a table. I regret the purchase.

After over 2 years of having just a Apple brand smart cover with a snap-on shell back cover, I was ready for a portfolio case. I often read on my iPad at night, and (yes, I sound like a baby) but after a while it hurt my torso where the edge would rest on me. I wound up having to use the comforter or a pillow as a buffer. So, I wanted the portfolio case that would help diffuse the weight if I just wanted to rest it on my lap/stomach. Plus, I was constantly pulling the smart cover off and then forgetting to pick it back up, so it was usually lost in my house or stuffed in some bag of mine. Anyways - I purchased this after watching a few reviews on YouTube. Very pleased. It's a high quality leather-type cover, and I like that the front and back reach out about a half inch past the iPad, which gives it that extra protection. Yes, I would recommend to a friend looking for a portfolio-style case.

Saw this item on another site but at £39.99, it was nearly twice the price! I was looking for a case for my iPad 3 that would do justice to the style and design of Apple's new device - this case delivers that with its quality, style, aesthetic appearance, and leaves all buttons & ports easily accessible. A fantastic product that is faultless in every way. I have to add - I ordered this at 00.35 hrs on Tuesday morning. It was dispatched at 09.39 that day and through my letterbox 24 hours later. This is the best case - it makes it easy to view at an angle and you don't have to prop it up with other things!! Have recommended to two friends already who are equally pleased.

It looks nice but that's as far as it goes. Missed the deadline to return. Basically it has a strong plastic odour which I originally hoped was from the packaging, but unfortunately it has remained. Can't use the case due to the unpleasant smell of it. Very bad buy.

I am really impressed with this cover . Really good quality and good as a stand as well.Definitely recommend this well worth it's money .
