Already one of my favorites
Overall a powerful book. A book to get readers to take action. Many business and self help books I’d apply principles however sometimes after a few chapters. This one forces readers to introspect, commit, take accountability and most definitely move! A definite must read.

Straight Line Leadership Works
This book will be talked about 20 years from now. It has depth and substance to it. There is no wasting time tolerating meaningless dribble waiting to get to the "good part." The whole book is the "good part." It's an educational rocket ride from start to finish.Djukich is a powerful writer and gets you to see differences between what you are stopped by and the truth of what's really happening. The chapter in the book to which I'm referring in the book is called "snakes and ropes" and it would prove to be invaluable to anyone, CEO, small business owner, entrepreneur, parent, etc. when it comes to getting your desired outcome. (Djukich calls it "getting to B.")A straight-line leader can be anyone who solves problems fast and gets others to do the same. I find that I am becoming much more straight-line in my own life by utilizing some of the many questions Djukich recommends. The questions cut straight to the heart of the matter. I have our management team at work using much of the information and it has been impactful."Core actions" are distinguished as opposed to "surface actions." Many people confuse core actions (the actions that will really make a difference) with surface actions (helpful but not vital actions). When you start replacing "surface actions" with "core actions" your productivity and results sky rocket according to the author. This has been my experience also. The author makes another great distinction that our management team found to be extremely helpful. That is the distinction between "can't" and "won't." Confusing these two will absolutely drain you of your energy and motivation.Think of the information you are introduced to in this book as tools that you can use in nearly any situation. I even use it with my children and they love it.

Getting from Point A to Point B w/o Stopping
This is one of the best books I've read on getting results. With all of today's distractions, it's easy to go off course or to stop something and try the next newest idea in hopes of getting the result faster. To summarize this book, when you need to go from point A to point B (what you need to accomplish), write down all of the actions needed to get there and decide if you're willing to do them. If you're not willing to do them, put the project on the shelf. In these cases, instead of saying "I can't" say "I won't" because you are not willing to take the actions. If you're willing to take the actions, then do them one at a time without stopping until the result is realized. It's that simple. The author highlights that most people never define what it's going to take to get the result they want. Therefore, they are unable to confront whether they are willing to do what is required. They may be quick to start some project but soon come upon a barrier that they are not willing to address. So they start, stop, start, stop over and over again... and never get the results they want. The author also highlights the importance of your "inner stance", which is your mindset in how you approach tasks and life in general. Your focus should be on creating what you want instead of reacting to the hand you are dealt. The book is littered with good examples of effective "inner stances" and how you may need to shift your inner stance and your situations change. If you feel like you are always distracted and/or not getting the results you want, I highly recommend this book and applying it's principles.

Hands down the most powerful book
Straight Line Leadership (further: SSL) is one of the most powerful books I've ever read.At the beginning, Mr. Djukich makes a point that although it's important to have goals, the foundation of your success is a place you live from (your inner stance). It is your inner stance that defines how you show up in the world, how you operate in life and basically what you see as possible or not possible. He then describes traits of:1) people who live in a circular world (those who believe they need more information to succeed and end up reading hundreds of books with zero action)2) zigzag people (they are inspired and active for a certain period of time and then "turn" circular till the next inspiration, e.g. next book, next workshop etc. Then the cycle repeats itself.)3) Straight Line Leaders.Just like you can change your stance in e.g. baseball and then hit better, you can also change a disempowering inner stance once you've clearly realized it's damaging. And then take the one which is more effective. In the next chapters the so called disctinctions are presented (e.g. choose to vs. want to, creating vs. waiting, must vs. should etc.) which allow to see VERY clearly the positions you operate from in your own life currently. If after that you still choose to keep your eyes closed... Well, then no book can help you.The principles described in SLL are universal and can be applied by anybody who is ready to change his life.I ordered 5 more books to share with my friends.

Be ready for straight talk
One of the best business books I've ever read in my life. Straight talk, so be ready for it. After reading this book, you will have to admit that the biggest obstacle to your success has been yourself, and to kick yourself in the butt for wasting your time around.

A new favourite - I wish it was available in book or audio form too
Straight-Line Leadership was recommended to me by my coach, and it quickly became a favourite. Unlike many books that revolve around a single concept padded out over hundreds of pages, this one is packed with a variety of actionable tactics. Each chapter offers something new, making it a treasure trove of leadership wisdom. The diverse range of strategies and insights provided me with multiple tools to improve my leadership skills in various scenarios. It's not just theory; the book is grounded in practical advice that can be readily applied. However, it's really unfortunate that it's not available in print or as an audiobook. I would have loved to highlight key sections and easily refer back to them. This format limitation is the only downside to what is otherwise an incredibly valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their leadership capabilities. Highly recommended for its depth and practicality - im surprised its not more popular to be honest, ive reccomeneded it to a few people already - actionable insights is what you want from a book and this gives you plenty!
