Blood of My Brother

I KNEW THAT THIS BOOK WAS GOING TO AT LEAST HOLD MY ATTENTION ,SEEING HOW IT WRITTEN ABT PHILLY, BUT NEVER IN A A ZILLION YEARS DID I THINK THAT I WOULD PICK UP THIS BOOK AND LITERALLY HATE TO PUT IT DOWN!!!! I'M TELLING YOU EXCITEMENT, EROCTIC, SUSPENSEFUL, READING THIS BOOK WAS LIKE BEING AT THE MOVIES!!! IT WAS REALISTIC, TO A CERTAIN DEGREE!!! I'M NOT ONE TO TELL THE STORY, I PROBABLY WON'T DO IT ANY JUSTICE!!!! THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS BOOK IS, RUN AND GIT IT (NOW)!!!! I'M SOOO GLAD THAT I BROUGHT PART 2 ALREADY!!!!!! I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE DA LOVE THAT THE AUTHORS EXPRESS TO ONE ANOTHER IT'S VERY REFRESHING AND ENCOURAGING TO ME AS A NEWLY SEPARATED FEMALE!!!

I ordered this book for my husband and he was very happy to get it. The price was great due to other online stores I looked at. I'll be ordering the other chapters to this book soon ;-)

Great book!

Despite only giving this book 3 stars I have to give praise & props to the authors Zoe & Yusuf T Woods,unfortunately I cant do the same for there book.Avid readers of urban & street fiction can tell that this is the 1st book out the gate for these 2 authors by the way it's written.There style of writing is very juvenile,lacks character developement andattention to detail all throughout this book.Dont get it twisted,this isa very fast paced action filled book but it's written for someone with a6th grade reading level.The plot was a little unbelievable,how does a character betrey his own flesh & blood so quickly,by the 3rd chapter Lil Mac is already scheming and plotting against his older brother Roc.Several times while readingthis book I had to fight the urge to quit & move on to another book,that's because at times this book is just dragging you along because of a lack of substance & subject matter.At times I had to force myself to finish reading this book,my only motivation was to read the sequel whichlooks like a better book based on the way it's written.Anyway despite this somewhat negative review,Blood of My Brother is a decent fast paced page turner of a book that should hold the average readers attention till the end.Hopefully the authors can tighten up therewritting skills to give us a sequel with more attention to detail,bettercharacter developement & stronger subject matter.Enough said about this book,I'm about to start part 2 The Face Off.

I read 1-2 books a week and it literally took me about a month to read this. I liked Doc but hated his brother Lil Mack. I would have enjoyed them coming together to build an unstoppable team. Lil Mac plotted in like the 3rd chapter to kill his brother (who loved him) just to take over the drug game. Why??? Then Lil Mack had his brother going after his best friend because the best friend figured out what Lil Mac was up to. I will not be reading part 2.

Awesome book

I bought this book last year.When i first started reading it it was hard to read. There were so many typos. I would pick it up and put it down pick it up and start all over again. finaly about a weekk and half ago i decided to just sit down and just read it, plus i had part two lying around also. Despite the many typos this story turned out to be very good.. I'm reading part two now.
