The Poems of the Pearl Manuscript: Pearl, Cleanness, Patience, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (with new Introduction and prose translation on CD-ROM) ... and Incorporating Prose Translation on CD-ROMHaving made the choice of a paperback at a very reasonable price rather than the hardback at nearly £60, I was not expecting either the very rapid delivery or the pristine condition of the book. The standard of typography and design is very high, the glossary excellent, footnotes well laid out, and the CD-ROM "translation" a real bonus.

It was exactly what I expected it to be.

The Pearl Manuscript was a decent book. The translations on the accompanying CD made it more enjoyable. The footnotes also helped tremendously with the Middle English definitions.

Such an education you get from this book!
