DuraSand Wood Sanding Twigs, Hobby Craft and Models, Mixed Grits (1 Bag w/ 20 Wood Sanding Twigs)

I have several creating type hobbies that involve sanding and I'm freaking in love with these things! First hobby is 3d printing which requires sanding to the printed parts sometimes and the second hobby is casting resin which sometimes requires a ton of sanding. These little sticks are able to get into tiny little areas of these small pieces to same whereas a sanding block is to big and it's to awkward to try to use sandpaper. It's much easier to use one of these to sand off something small than to get out my Dremel, which also can't get into as small of places as these. So they've really been super convenient and saved me a lot of hassle and headache. The little sticks have been sturdy enough that I've not had one break or anything. I do kinda brace them with my finger just in case, but I think they're stand up to it even without that honestly. They came in several different coarseness levels. The levels aren't marked is the only thing that I don't like, but I just run my finger across to see if it's around the level of coarseness that I need. I will definitely be buying a lot more of these in the future.

Seems that most of them (approx. 75%) were all of the same grade (coarseness of abrasive) and the ends were splintered, not cut clean. Looks like they were chopped off longer pieces using a dull beaver. Lengths are somewhat random but none significantly less than the package size. Edges are clean and abrasive seems good. Usable and useful. Would buy again.

I just received this product and will absolutely not be removing from the package. It is totally inappropriate and unacceptable for fine scale modeling. The ends of the sticks have pronounced jagged edges which would interfere with many sanding applications. The sanding backing is very ragged and pulled away from the stick. In addition, the sticks have a huge difference in the lengths of the sticks, with at least one stick in the package being too short to even be used. It appears that the sticks have just been ripped and twisted to create shortened sticks. To say that I am unimpressed is a substantial understatement.I personally provide multiple hands-on training clinics each year at modeling shows for model railroading. I will be passing and displaying this product as a primary example of scams aimed at the modeling community. My latest build on-line has over 77k views, so I believe that I can say with confidence that I have the ability to determine if basic tools as this product are of value and interest to the fine scale modeling community. I'm not trying to beat my own drum, but I am trying to save you money if you're considering using this product for fine scale modeling. Save your modeling dollars and invest in a different product.

This packet comes in rough, rougher and roughest. Nothing in a 200 or up. So, I was very disappointed since it says mixed. After these previous comments, their customer service sent me their fine sticks and these worked really great. This was the product I wanted. Liked using them. Really good product for tough areas to get into. You can cut the ends after they get worn out, etc. You need to know which product your order since this one is as I stated very rough. The fine ones were awesome for finish work on wood models.

These are great! I've recently gotten into scroll saw work and needed some small pieces of sandpaper to get into corners and tighter areas. These sanding sticks are awesome for that! They aren't super durable, but that actually works well for me. I usually snap them in half so they aren't too bendy.Only downside is they don't tell what grit it is. But for little areas, I really didn't mind. They feel like an 80, but don't leave the wood too rough.

These did the purpose I bought them for. I finish mini-figs for others and often need small bits of sanding materials. These do exactly what I ask of them.

As a scale model boat builder, I found the sanding sticks to be of great help in sanding tight and small parts of my model boat build. Very good product.

These Narrow DuraSand Wood Sanding Twigs are super handy when you need to sand inside a narrow space. I use to dull my scissors and cutting blades trying to cut regular sanding sticks into useable narrow sanders. These Sanding Twigs are exactly what I needed.
