Spigen Neo Hybrid Designed for iPhone Xs MAX Case (2018) - Jet Black

This was a replacement for an off-brand Lifeproof case. It offers equal protection when compared to name brand cases like Lifeproof and OtterBox. I would trust this case during a fall as much as those brands and a huge bonus of it not costing as much as those brands as well.I would recommend Spigen over the other big brands as this isn't my first Spigen product and I have also owned Lifeproof and OtterBox in the past, these typically hold up much longer.Update 5 months after of use:Downgraded my review from 5 to 3 stars. Spigen case ended up breaking at the bottom plastic side near the charging port. I’m not abusive to my cases so I don’t understand how light to medium use of the case caused this. I ended up replacing this one with an Otterbox Symmetry because the price was right, which goes against my original review. Hopefully the Otterbox will hold up better than the Spigen will.

I don’t usually take the time to review things I purchase, but I was just sitting here looking at the back of the case(back of my phone) and admiring and respecting how good it looks. Which led me to write this review.I have the Gold iPhone XS Max Gold. When I first got the phone I didn’t buy one from my phone company because I knew they were cheaper here on amazon. I say that to express that I’ve had several days to hold and feel the quality of precision that the iPhone is.With that being said, this case looks and feels great to cover up such a premium device as the top level iPhone XS Max.Also, what made me kind of marvel even more is how the case holds up to whatever maybe on your fingers when you hold it(i.e. Pizza Grease).Lastly, the pictures led me to believe that this might be a two piece case that you would have to put together every time you put it back on the device, but luckily that is not this case.A great buy that I would most certainly Recommend 👍P.S. Always get a Screen Protector, it just saved my expensive *cough*, very expensive iPhone. I fully recommend TETHYS Full Framed Screen Shield. Not sponsored, just saved my device, and BARELY noticeable with this case.

I purchased this particular case because I though it looked nice, it checked all the protection boxes (bezel to protect the screen from scratches, etc.), and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg.After using this case for several weeks now, I can confirm that it’s well worth the price. The case is thick enough to protect both the screen and the camera glass, but thin enouh to not interfere with wireless charging.The only negative things I can bring up is that this definitely does add bulk to the phone, but honestly the iPhone XS Max is pretty big anyway so I don’t think this is too big of a deal, and also the access to the mute switch is harder to access. Due to the bezel, you have to reach in to get to the switch. For me it’s not a deal breaker, but it’s definitely an inconvenience.All in all, I would definitely recommend this case. It’s a quality product at a great price.

Typically use Caseology case, but they didn't have the Parallax series for my iPhone XS Max. I've had several Spigen Neo Hybrids for my LG V30's which have been sturdy and great. This one for the iPhone XS Max has the same design, but the bezel for the case is very smooth and slippery. Placing some small strips of fabric tap on the sides fixed the issue.

I’ve had three of these cases, 2 for the same phone. Love the slim profile and durability. Although if there is a complaint, it would be the durability. My Xs max gets dropped , not often but enough. This case definitely protects my phone and does it’s job well, ....but will end up cracking the frame casing. I don’t think it’s a bad design , it’s just after some serious drops, cracking is bound to happen.....and even cracked it still holds up. I think for the price it’s worth the purchase.

Durable case with a nice matte back finish. Although the gun metal finish is visually pleasing, it is a tad slippery. I would definitely feel comfortable with more grip. That being said, I’m not sure why other purchasers have felt the need to comment on the camera cut out. I’m pretty sure you could see what it looked like before you purchased it. So that sounds more like a personal preference rather than something to actually judge the case on. Don’t like the cut out, don’t buy the case. Hopefully Spigen can implement this cool gun metal design onto a part of the phone where you don’t grip it.

I've had every new gen iPhone since the iPhone 5 and I've never used any other case from any other brand other than Spigen. All of Spigens' cases are beautiful in my opinion. They're sleek, yet secure and I've never had an issue with any of there cases. Either im very lucky with my phones or I don't know what but I HAVE NEVER HAD AN IPHONE SCREEN CRACK ON ME WITH SPIGEN CASES. Keep in mind that some of their cases are two piece cases and they will break if dropped on harder/rougher surfaces. However, this is the case with many other two piece cases as well. Overall, yes the outer shell of the case can crack and break, but in my experience (not one iPhone cracked), they are very excellent cases. :)

I really like the feel of this case in the hand and it slides into the pocket nicely however my only complaint is that I wish it had the kickstand like other Spigen cases that I have.

I had the 2 of the gunmetal ones, 1st one was 1 year and 2 months old when snapped on the bottom left section (right before starts rounding to the corner) i dropped a few times (10 or so) then i purchased a 2nd one (same gunmetal) in mid-december 2019 which is just snapped at the same place without ever dropping or hitting hard surface and didn't took the case off for about 4 months now. I like the spigen cases, but this was my favourite colour/case (i strongly against the cutout for the apple logo on the back ones unfortunately, i think there should be an option if you'd like that or not), rigid enough to hold the case together properly, soft enough to mitigate dropping/hitting hard surface and a sick look. Unfortunately this means that i have part ways from spigen neo hybrid until the new iphone comes out this year and buy case from another brand for my iXSM.3 stars simply because the other cases my workplace used are all spigen (clear, slim...etc) and they are cool, but i don't like them and because the case i used snapped 2 times at the same place. Hope that's the reason why the gunmetal case no longer available...

Initially I thought this was a sleek, solid and stylish item. I loved it and it was very ‘grippy’ and easy to hold.However, after about 2 months, I realised that the fit was so tight, I had peeled off part of my screen protector, putting it on. I had to buy a new protector. After this, the gunmetal silver trim cracked at the bottom (I hadn’t even, ever dropped it).Thankfully, Amazon agreed to do a return:refund even though the 30 day return period had lapsed.It’s a shame as I really liked this case.

Purchased this only in December and it’s already cracked.Not happy at all, didn’t even drop the phone so I have no idea how it’s cracked already!!! How can I expect this to protect a £1250 iPhone.

I had hoped spigen cases had reputation and that i why ordered this one but unfortunately the outer lining in grey came off within a month of purchase. Rest of the product was okay but without that the rest of case was unusable and looked awkward. Overall 2/5 poor quality

Spigen usually make good cases, but not this one.I took it out of my pocket one day and found that the case had cracked on the side of the volume buttons. Also the edges tend to scratch up very easily leaving the case looking tacky. I wouldnt recommend it.
