If your cube walls are thicker than 3 inches then this is perfect for you. It's high quality and fits well. I've tried several that said they went to 3 inches but they never really do. This one does and beyond. Both the single and double work for 3+ inch thick walls.

The build quality of this device looks great. The wood knobs are attractive. It almost looks too good for an office cube wall. The design is good in all respects but one. You get two brackets, each of which allows adjustment, so that the adjustment ranges of the two brackets overlap. All good so far. The problem with my sample is that the adjustment slips if you put anything with any weight on it. There is a plastic, strain-loaded mechanism on top that is supposed to hold the adjustment in place. On mine, it is far too weak. I couldn't hang a couple of lightweight umbreallas and a light-weight jacket on it without it sliding apart and falling on the floor. No way it would hold the weight of a winter coat. The only way I could secure it was to wrap a wire around it to hold down the little black button that you're supposed to lift up when you adjust it. It no longer looks cool, and it's a lot to pay for a very defective product. Maybe my sample is just a bad one. You now know everything I know. Good luck!**Update** I just upgraded this review from one star to two. As I said before, the problem was with the adjustment mechanism. What I finally did was adjust it to the width of my cube and glue it permanently for that width. Problem solved. If you are only going to use it at one width, there is a solution to the loose mechanism.

I bought this to hold my coat and sweatshirt so I didn't have to hang them on the back of my chair at work. It fits my cube wall nicely and can easily hold the weight of several items.

No tools needed. Fit a thick wall. Much sturdier than I expected. Great product

I use this in my cube at work. One down side is that the large setting doesn't adjust smaller. It is either too small or too big, but too big works ok on my cube - it still works. The other down side is that it came as UN-STAINED wood. It did not look like the picture. I still use it and like it, but just know it's not the same.

Decent quality—though light brown, not at all orange, as other reviews have said. The knobs likely can’t take much weight but it’s useful for what I needed it for (a plant hanger for over my cubicle wall—it would work for coats too!).

The design and quality are good on this item, however, I would not recommend this hook for heavier coats as the adjustment bracket slips opens and falls down with weight. I bought two of these, for me and my co-worker; Her's broke after oftentimes falling due the weight. (the plastic part that is supposed to hold the brackets in place) Mine is still put together but I only have a light hoodie hanging from it.

Very nice and heavy duty, however it’s not a snug fit. Other than that it suits its purpose. Easy on, easy off; therefore less chance of someone taking it.

Very easy to set up and sturdy. Holds my heavy winter jacket and two sweaters.

Needed a coat hook for my cube at work. This does the job it is supposed to do.The wood knobs are not the colour shown in the photos though. Not a how stopper at all... for me anyways.
