Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2X™ Multi-Styler and Dryer with Diffuser

I’m really not very good at styling my hair and have struggled in the past with curling devices but this is so easy to use and works so well!! The attachments click into place easily and are just as easy to remove and change and the storage box is very smart-looking. Surprised though that no space was allocated for the diffuser head? This has to be stored separately which is annoying. There were instructions included to download an app which I did and you fill in a load of questions which then personalises your styling to the ideal amount of time with the heat and then the cooler setting phase. Although I used the app a couple of times, I prefer to just use it without and don’t feel that the app is really necessary but more of a gimmick to justify the price tag on this. It looks really smart, it will last me forever, and I find it so easy to use with fantastic results but I don’t think I would ever have been able to justify spending so much money on myself for something so non-essential. It’s definitely for me, more of a luxury item. Having said that, now that i have got it, I shall be using it all the time and will be giving away all my other cheap and cheerful styling accessories!

Got fine lifeless hair? Need some body or less frizz or more curls? This is the Dyson Airwrap Co-Anda 2x Curly + Coily In Black / Rose Gold, Corded With Six Clip On Attachments. This multi-styler has a long barrel which is typical Dyson, so much power in one place and it is great for volume n frizz control on my daughters hair, she has a thick mop that frizzes a lot. Only so much straightening, so she embraces it. Being a bloke I can only watch and observe, the temperature / speed settings are the choice of two button three heat and one cool with three speeds. The 1700w dryer helps a lot here, and makes easy work of damp (but not overly wet) hair when styling. The attachment heads come off easily, so regular maintenance cleaning is a doddle. You get six attachments too including fast dryer 2x, 40mm curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush, round volumising brush, tension comb and a big wave n curl diffuser. You also get a 24 month warranty, which is good considering and standard with Dyson. When plugged in first time you will need to register on your Dyson app, this will install any updates needed. The app has lots of tips and tutorials to follow to get the most from your product. My daughter loves the dryer function, as you can get close and control the frizz easier. Her hair is quite thick, so the curler works better on wavy thin hair. If you have thick straight hair, the curls will drop out quite quick, which is annoying. But the dryer and diffuser work a treat, and they simply click on / off. The app detects which attachment you have on and will bring up the relevant tutorials needed, which is genius. The beauty of it too is you get a storage box so it all tidies away easily, well almost, the diffuser is left out, as it don’t fit. Overall I would say this multi-styler is a class above, and the price really dictates that being a premium brand like Dyson. But if you have straight thick hair, then you probably won’t get the best out of it, wavy or Afro hair, you’ll love it. So close to a five star product, but the price and it can’t cope with thick straight hair cost it dearly. Still amazing bit of kit though!

The Dyson Airwrap has a premium feel from the moment you use it, with a solid build and smooth performance. The automatic curl function is particularly user-friendly, making it easier to create consistent curls without much effort. I’ve also found the app tutorials helpful for trying different styles, especially if you’re not very experienced with styling tools. It works best on slightly damp hair, where it shapes and dries at the same time. The main drawback is that some of the styles shown require additional attachments that aren’t included, which adds to the already high cost. Still, the overall performance and ease of use make it a strong styling tool.

I picked this up for my partner to try out and she is thoroughly pleased with this - her very first words after trying this out for the first time was "Wow!". For such a premium price, you do expect a premium product, and it does certainly deliver, all the way from the very nice storage box that it comes in, to the feel and functionality of the Airwrap itself (which does feel very durable with a nice metal build). Set up is very easy via the My Dyson app - just plug it in and within the app, it will auto detect the Airwrap and you'll be walked through a short series of questions to personalise the product and activate the warranty. You'll then be walked through the very basics of usage using the standard curler and it's surprisingly easy to use. Within the My Dyson app, you get lots of handy information, firmware updates, current speed & temps, and lots of How To guides & Styling Guides so that you aren't just dropped into the deep end. Having used this for just under a week, my partner absolutely loves this - not only is drying hair done in just 5 minutes (compared to 10-15 minutes with her previous hair dryer), but her hair feels silky smooth with much less frizz. Whilst it does weight pretty much the same as her other hair dryers, the shape does make it slightly more ergonomic and easy to fit in her hands. At £579, it is a pretty penny, but honestly, it is a great device that I'd say is good value for money.

I wanted to order this hairstyler from Dyson as it looked a good quality item. My Airwrap Co-anda 2x is a bit complicated but comes with an App that has instructions and practise sessions that are easy to follow. My App was easy to download but did want me to accept a lot of cookies etc. they are all explained before I made my choice of whether to accept. The first difficulty I had was turning my Airwrap on. My Dyson hair styler has an enormous plug, I made sure that was on. Once I had chosen a curler accessory I was able to fit it easily. There were lights for me to choose my fan speed and heat. At this point pressing the on/off didn’t seem to work. I found I needed to download the latest App and then it worked well. I watched a clip to help me style some curls. This is not a quick process but I felt for once my hair was not getting too hot. Next I had a go at the dryer. I must say the warm air had I think a smoothness about it. My Dyson Airwrap looks swish, I really like the copper colour. My store of accessories are very well made too. The value for money I will question as at this price point does my storage box not fit all my accessories. I also could not find a customer service contact. I tried to get a customer service Email but was led to online videos. Not however any that had a diffuser to fit in their own boxes. I’m sure this is a genuine product as I have a ‘my Dyson’ account which recognises my Dyson Airwrap

I was sold a used one. I'll just buy directly from Dyson and see if that's any better.

Brand new unit does not work. Dyson says serial number not real.
