Very influential book..

Pages are good quality. Maybe the font size makes it hectic to read. Almost feels like reading a highschool textbook. Other than that the book is fine.

Really influence the life...

If you were to ask me what was it that I most regreted doing this month, I would, without any hesitation or second thought, answer- buying this stupid book. 'Crucial Conversations' by these authors was like the Gold Standard. 'Influencer' doesn't even come half as close to the previously mentioned legendary work. To begin with, the title of the book is deceptive. Anyway, at a general level, few of the premises made in the book makes sense. I came across few pages that I'd bookmark for further reference. But, at a deeper level the book is shallow. Citing works of other scientists in psychology and sociology, it tries to bolster its propositions, and fails miserably. It is one of those books that could have been a good short essay. Period. I paid 500 bucks to know things that I already knew cos they were so obvious that it didn't need any telling. The basic problem is unlike Crucial Conversations, this book is totally abstract. It doesn't tell you how to build the necessary skills and all. Influence is talked of in general and at a macro level. It's much better to read 48 laws of power, if one needs to learn about influence. This book, with all its digressions and redundancy, is only worth reading if someone offered it to you for free.
